It was a pilot episode of an unsold sitcom.
A sitcom with Debbie Allen, Diahann Carroll, and Jenifer Lewis???
Jenifer Lewis is the exact same loud character in everything she has ever been in.
Wow! I don't remember this. How did I not see this in 1991 or have I just forgotten? This was during my junior year in high school. This seems like a great show.

Love and miss you Queen. Ms. Diahann Carroll Continue RIHP
Totally agree. Exactly what I'm thinking as I watch it 👌🏽 All these actors were too big to be together on the small screen.
I vaguely remember this show, but atleast the cancelation of this made room for Debbie to do In the House 🤷🏾♀

What were the closing logos in this pilot?
Nice show. Great actors and actresses. (RIP Diahann Carrol and John Witherspoon). Critique: Debbie Allen's energy and the cast's vibe was too big for TV. They are giving stage energy on TV, but she really needed to tone it down and slow their rhythm and volume down, as well as their comedic beats. Slow down for a sitcom. Comedy processes slower and different on TV than stage plays. They should have done it before a live studio audience too. That laugh track was on 100. I do wish it would have at least lasted three seasons.
