i’m still so obsessed w this masterpiece and so jealous and awestruck by ur talent. the way u play sunburn adds to the arrangement so much and allows it to stand alone on piano. i wish i could do the little creative touches that u do with piano- i literally only know piano strictly from the pattern of playing though, i have no clue what chords are which or anything. i also tend to stop trying if i don’t get right the first couple times. that’s on me though. i do though, by magic forces probably, wish to play like u someday though.

Hi Mikhaela thank you for your lovely comment. If you're just starting out, you can definitely learn to play Sunburn easily. I won't hide from you that it takes years to add all the touches I do (I started playing at 7 years old): unfortunately there are no shortcuts but in life there will always be someone who started doing something before you, so don't be intimidated by this. It's never too late to start, never :) I was thinking about doing online piano lessons in the next few months. If you're interested, I can help you. If so let me know. The first one is Rachmaninov and the second is the Butterflies and Hurricanse solo with some unique things added by Matt. Matt himself has done that on the Big Day out (or was it Rock am Ring) and it had worked out so well. If only Ago could sing...

Great to see you play the Live version. Fantastic stuff. For anyone who doesn't know, the beginning of the piece is heavily influenced by Rachmaninoff's Prelude Op. 23 No. 5. Search for it here, it's amazing. And the fact that Matt incorporates it makes him look even better in my books (if that's even possible =) ) Muse is love!

I don't know about him, but I know Matt is heavily inspired by Rachmaninoff. Anyway, I loved the last version of Sunburn, but this beats it by a million. Wow! The addition of all the interludes makes a great touch. You never fail to amaze me.

Wow.. youre just amazing! i had to watch that twice it was so good.. i love the way you add in stuff so its not too much, but it makes the song sound better. i have no idea how a video i worked about 30 seconds on 2 years ago got 14k more views than yours, which you obviously worked many, many hours on perfecting.. its just pure genius! i would give all those views to you in a heartbeat if i could, you definitely deserve way more attention than you have, as well as Muse themselves!

Exatly! The reason I focus on skills though is so I can get to the level to be able to play without having to worry about playing badly and then because playing is more relaxed you can really emphasise the feeling of the songs. Check the comment I left on your page Agp ; )
