Sunak win is highly unlikely | John Curtice analysis

"The likelihood is undoubtedly extremely low”
This is almost a mirror image of the 1997 election suggesting “history stands against Rishi Sunak being able to pull this off” says polling analyst Sir John Curtice.

It's not what Sunak has done over his period in charge, it's what the Tories have done since they came to power. Promising everything and we get a railway that no one wanted and the levelling up we never got.No one is better off except a Tory.

What do you mean no one is better off... they created a tax threshold whereby people don't even start paying income tax on the first 12k of their earnings. This SPECIFICALLY helps the poorest workers and families in society. It was a monumental decision that put the burden of taxation on higher earners for the benefit of the poorer, after Labour have always taxed everyone, including the lowest paid, to pay for foreigners and bloated bureaucratic nothing jobs in the public sector.

To be honest I just think that the vast majority of the UK voters have had enough of the Conservatives and are demanding change and I remember prior to the 2019 General Election that Starmer made a point of asking people what was stopping them from committing to Labour and the most common reply was Jeremy Corbyn. So, Starmer actually does listen but you have to go about things in the right way, present your case through the proper channels and when you get the opportunity then be respectful and civilised don't let whatever emotions you may have get the better of you.

Good riddance. I don't like him, he's as sneaky as they come! Although the corrupt Starmer isn't much better. Neither partie is appealing, it would be better without either of these 2 men leading the country.

I regret to say this, but Sunak has inundated the NHS England with nurses from India who are not adequately trained. He has done this merely to boost numbers, and at the next election, he will claim victory over this issue. What genuinely concerns me is patient safety and the declining standards of care. I know this because many of those I worked with were failing the entrance exams for basic English and competency assessments. They were forced to work as Healthcare Assistants, but since these requirements were scrapped, they have now obtained NMC registration and are working as nurses. This is alarming. We are now working with staff who have no idea what they are doing and constantly need assistance with even the most basic tasks. I cannot begin to count the number of times I have been asked simple questions during a shift. Even more concerning, one of them admitted in confidence that obtaining a convincing fake certificate in India is easy. Unfortunately, most of us nurses are too scared to report this and silently carry on.
