The Sun is the reason that the solar system exists.
The Sun is the reason that the 9 planets their satellites, asteroids, comets, dwarf planets et all exist in the solar system.
In 'Vedic' astrology the Sun is a very important entity as it is considered to be the signifier of the soul and therefore it is closely connected to the expression of that purpose in this world.
The Sun is also the 'Sthir Atma Karaka' for all individuals and so worshipping the Sun and/or receiving the Sun's benefic influences can help in realizing one's life purpose.
Now the Sun is said to rule the sign of Leo, be exalted in Aries and debilitated in the sign of Libra.
However does that mean that all Librans will have trouble realizing their life purpose? Or does that mean that all Arians will be able to successfully realize their life purpose?
See this is where 'Vedic' astrology is so vast, detailed yet interconnected at the same time with all the other scriptures and 'puranas'. The important thing to always remember when trying to understand these placements is that 'absolutes' don't exist. Reading, studying and interpreting the energy of any placement is a highly nuanced art that comes with practice and a lot of allied knowledge from the vastness of the scriptures that form the 'Sanatana'.
Sun in twelfth house is a placement that is quite misunderstood by most people in the astrological community because it is associated with negative connotations at least from the perspective of material success and happiness.
From a spiritual purpose however this can be a great placement and once the individual has learnt how to align his or her life with their spiritual desire and 'pull', they are able to manifest great things and very fast with this placement.
This is because this placement can be great in terms of manifesting one's desires very quickly as these individuals have a very clear vision and imagination of what they want and wish for. It's the execution part where they may sometimes struggle. Obviously if this 'struggle' to manifest one's visions accurately enough continues, they are faced with a lot of disappointment and heart break.
Even then, this is only aspect of the story. There's a lot more to consider at different levels at that, with this placement..

Whatever you said about Sun in 12th house is absolutely true to every point. I am withdrawn, live in my own world, isolated, excel best in solo instead of groups, alienated from father from childhood. No harm to father as you said, but father is *definitely* harming me 🥲. Father is the sole reason behind all the miseries in my life till now. And omg! I have always thought of writing a book but with fake name. 😭 The only reason I am apprehensive of doing this is that someone might take advantage and pretend to be me. To add, I feel connected to foriegners than Indians!

I'm a sag sun conjunct neptune, and mercury also 12th house. I've feel like I've covered a fair bit of ground in my life so far in my mind lol many avenues explored, I'm almost chamelionic in constant state of change and growth. Am 43 now, 20 years ago an athiests and also suicidal, I'm extremely glad I'm still here now though now I don't know what I am lol. I've always wondered though if this is what they actually mean when they say sagittarius likes to travel, or Atleast one way they mean it. Never stays in one place too long my mind. I'm like the littlest hobo if anyone remembers that old TV show. God I'd love to live that life, that's my dream haha. Huh I just googled littlest hobo as couldn't remember much about it other than song. Turns out it's about a stray German shepherd dog who helps people which is quite funny lol cos I was bitten by a German shepherd dog badly on 4th July 2021 on left arm. Almost 3 years ago today 6th July 2024, had to take 6 weeks off work to recover... Windmills of my mind 😂 that dog still shepherding meh
Thank you. Yes, very often I feel weary knowing that I have to keep on living in this reality which is not that attractive to me. My Jupiter in swakshetra helps me to become positive again and again and go on. My father worked in the police and then was a lawyer often attending prison to meet with clients there, this is how my Sun in 12th h realised, still there was some distance between us, as my dad tried to isolate himself from the world even living in one apartment with his family.
It does sound similar for Jupiter in 12th house. Would love to hear your opinion on gandanta and generational patterns of few combinations like rahu Mars conjunction and ascendant lord in 12th house

Sun in 12th house mooltrikona (with Mer & Jup), does that give Sun any power? Btw, I did lose my father in childhood, he was pretty much absent even before. Have always felt a strong debt towards my father. Being the oldest child (female), had to take the role of father from a young age. Have a led a life of sacrifice and live in isolation, independant, spiritual also spent a decade in foreign land. Tough, eventful life!
