You brought me back to when I made sun tea as a kid in the 80s. That was a luxury item because what you know about bar tending water hose water for your friends because you couldn’t come in and out of the house?

In or Out. Ain't no running in and out unless you wanna stay inside. So water hose it was. LOL🤣🤣. We didn't drink tea as kids but I was searching for some how to's on Sun Tea and saw BGC. No stove needed. I gotta try this.

@@playininmyyard It was one of the few things we could make as a boys. The girls had the easy bake ovens, lol. One thing I would change, I would go with regular Lipton or Red Diamond and mix in regular sugar in the jug after brewing but before icing. You want to go with slightly past sweet since the cubes are going to mix in after.

My dad would do this in Arizona and Houston. I spent my whole young adult life not knowing what I was really missing. Something triggered the memory of my dad sun brewing tea and I made my own from that memory. There’s something about letting it sit and brew slowly. It really just hits different.

DELICIOUS 😋 🤤 Thank you for this video! My mother from NC made this tea no matter where my dad was stationed in the military. Something reminded me of it this summer. My mother and grandmother have dementia and I had no idea how to make it! Went out and bought a 2 gallon jug from Walmart. My half a gallon container wasn't cutting it! ❤

hell yeah..great on a hot day. Im thinking about getting a bigger container to make 2 gallons at a time. Can I leave the sun brew tea on the counter for a few days afterwards and just tap into it or does it need to be refridgerated after brewing? The one gallon size never lasts more than a day for me....LOL

  • @BYDonBermudaGrassCentral

rbljackson I’ve always refrigerated but you can leave on counter top but I’ve noticed if you put a lot of sugar in the jar the tea will seem gummy.
