I know this is 11 years old, but I couldn’t find good info on sun tolerant hostas in my area, so I decided to search on KZread. Ironically I live near Eugene so heading out to Sebright in Salem is doable. Found the info I needed AND a place to go check out. What a happy coincidence. 🙂

That's wonderful. What a stroke of luck for you! I learned most about hostas from my lovely mother in law. But I love gardening so I watched thia video anyway lol. Good luck with your hostas!

This is so true! I never realized this until I decided to expand my collection and ran out of shade. It turns out, many of the hostas I grow do just as well in the sun, maybe even better than they do in the shade! It never occurred to me to share this handy fact in one of my videos, though. Thanks for helping get out the good word! :)

PNW full Sun is a lot different than scorching southern Sun.

I like that you can make more hostas when they get large by dividing them.

I am wondering if he has high humidity. That will mitigate the full sun to some degree. It is different than full sun in southern California or the Phoenix.

Will Hostas do well in a large container on a porch where they get filtered sunlight all day?I am not sure which type I have., whether they prefer sun or shade.They are striped,that's all I know about them.Thank you.
