Sump Pump in Crawl Space Install | Quickly after a Flood!

After some record setting rain in the Pacific NW, USA, we had to install a sump pump in the crawl space. Although this job is not fun, it can be done by someone with no sump pump experience in a day or two.
Parts used:
Zoeller 1/2 HP 115-volt cast iron submersible Sump Pump model #1075-0001 ($225 @ Lowes)
Zoeller PVC Check Valve ($20) Amazon Link: amzn.to/3nBPDUG
1 1/2 inch PVC for piping
Everbilt 18 in by 22 in Sump Basin ($32 @ Home Depot)

If that's the water table, doing an interior drain near the footers to the basin would work wonders assuming your grading around the house is good.
How did you attach the 1.5 inch pvc to the green pop up valve? I can't seem to find a 1.5 inch pop up valve

I used a 1.5 inch to 3 inch pvc adapter coupling (readily available at all plumbing supply stores including big box)
