Summing Stereo Channels to Mono for the Behringer P16
One of my favorite things about the Behringer P16 system is how easy it is to set up. However, one of the downsides is that it only supports 16 mono channels, or 8 stereo pairs.
My favorite setup trick is creating Flex Channels on the P16 where you can sum stereo channels to mono or sum multiple channels together for a mini mix. This will help get all of your band to fit on the 16 channels of the Behringer P16.
Check out more on how to do it in this video!

What can i say...thank you again...you make the things I only imagine we can do with the X32 so clear with your tutos . You're a gold mine ....👏👏👏😀
I stumbled across this video while browsing X32-related vids and I confess it never occurred to me to do this. I mean, I'm primarily a guitarist just learning the X32 to help the band. I don't usually run sound. But it's absolutely something I need, and that I'm going to use.
Always on point...I tap into your grace
Thanks Drew
The video i was expecting 👌🥳😜
Hi. I appreciated you sharing all this great information with us. Thx How to I router a pre fader from behringer wing to p16’s. Thx
@drewbrashler Suppose I want to use the turbo sound floor monitors for discreet mixes. Just as if I were sending outputs to amplifiers for monitor mixes. I presume I would setup these monitors to only “listen” to their respective mix, ie. out1 for keys, etc. Then, how do I tell the bus to send those outputs to the monitor wedges?
that Great Video My Friend!

Thanks so much!
Lovely info! Could you show us how to go about setting up a stereo Drums mix and sending that to the P16? BTW, I did not know you could select an input channel during Fader Flip mode and see where's it's being sent to. Nice little trick. Cheers!

hey, did you ever find a solution for that? I made a stereo mixbus for drums, and sent both L and R to P16, but when you put them on I cannot hear any separation on L and R.

i would like to do this asap, please, thank you
Any chance of taking a swing on the Midas DP48?
Can u please do a video on this for the wing. But i think the way it would go is to assign a bus as a source to the user signal group. Is this right?
Can this also be done with a Xair 18? What should be the routing for ultranet?
I tried this and it’s not coming out in stereo? Is there a reason for this?
Please do this for the wing... I don't know how to change tap point for p16 on thr wing.. I don't believe there is an option.
Hi Drew…How do you also put 2 kick mics and 2 snare mics into the p16?
Hey, and how I can use 32 channels on P 16?
Is it possible to send any AUX INPUTs to P16?
Trying to buy a s32 stage box from bheringer and there’s no stock anywhere
Thank you for this. Can I assume using a remote iPad I can send what I want to a flex channel without depending on front of house engineer?
I can't see the screen of behringer X32 because of the low quality of the video, i think you need change HD quality camera 🙏📷 , but thank you for the info about Behringer x32 and Godbless
Please how can I reset my P16 to factory reset bless you

Hey did you ever find out how to do that? I'm trying to send a stereo mixbus of Drums to p16 but when they hear it, it's in mono

i would like to do this today, if you could help, please thank you
Musicians can mix their own sends with an iPad or tablet. That’s how we do it at our church. Granted, there needs to be some training so they know how to do that without messing with the main mix, but it is an option.

Yeah that is my problem with the design of that. There's no way to limit what they can access to just their own stuff.
Can’t you have 16 stereo channels on a P16 with a WING console?

Unfortunately no, the P16 is limited to 16 mono channels.
All of this is totally useless to me! i;ve been trying for a week, with Sweetwaters tech support help ( who aren't much help to be honest!) i'm running Studio One 6, using an Audient Evo 16 and EVO SP8 combo to give me 16 inputs for my drums using a Mac Studio M1, these are connected via ADAT to a Behringer Powerplay P16-i. My inputs are currently kick in in 1, kick out in 2, snare top in 3, snare bottom in 4, hats in 5 and 3 toms into 6,7 & 8. Then we have ride into input 9 Room left and right into 10 and 11. What i want is all my kicks to go to channel 1 on the p16M, All Snares to channel 2, hats to 3, all three toms to a stereo linked pair of channels, OH's left and right (and maybe ride?) into a linked pair, and Rooms left and right to a linked pair, click to a single channel, and all the tracks im playing to would be sent to a bus in studio one and sent out as another stereo linked pair . Myself, the internet, Sweetwater (gonna try Audient tomorow too) none of them so far have a clue how to set my outputs to do this. I'm on the cusp after a week of messing around and getting no where, of sending the whole friggin' lot back to Sweetwater for a refund. Audient say it will definitely work, so do Sweetwater, haven't approached Presonus Studio One yet, but so far NONE of them can get my outputs set correctly to achieve this! any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks 🙂
