Thank you Howard I appreciate the effort you have gone to putting this video together I still have not attended Summernats and I’m sure all these cars look better in person but I simply have no idea how to pick a winner there could not be a car show on the planet with the number of high quality builds as this and not just paying a professional to build it Aussie blokes in sheds building world class cars

That XC rear guard stuffed with wheel/tyre is a credit to you Howard, besides the fact the entire build is next level, the stance is absolutely spot on, the interior looks factory in the very best way possible. all these various makes of cars is what makes car shows what they are, owners build the cars to their own personal tastes which creates individuality and uniqueness of each car. so many have whinged that the porsche did not deserve the grand champion, the footage you have of it shows how much detail has been put into it. cars do not have to be radical to be a trophy winner.

Thanks Howard, gratz on the awards for BossXC. I selected it as People Choice. I guessed the Porsche as GC, as that has an insane amount of craftsmanship gone into it. The Cherry XF with Stitched-Up Custom interior, were the guys who also made the interior for the white XE at MotorEX with JetFTR plates.

I only attended SN after 6yrs to view your work ,wasn't disappointed. I overheard 2 groups say .. "I thought the interior would turn out sh%t .. but it looks awesome " As an xb xc owner I think the interior flows nicely! front seats look spot on & overall the car looks clean & sharp,a little European flavour even in my thinking, for a good Ol Ford. Tremendous effort and result whilst under the pump ,Howard. Was able to compliment Kylie & her efforts at the show also.

Yep interior looks great but the only thing I don't like is the back of the the front seats, I think they would have looked better done in the Tan instead of the black. My 2 cents

Excellent coverage as always Howard! I have a question though I've heard through a few very reliable sources that the reason that the 3 Piece Simmons (Yeh Buds!) Wheels are soooo ubiquitious is that they score higher when it comes to Judging? Also curious as to why that may be (if at all true) Dont get me wrong its a great look on a lot of cars, but I feel personally that its an easy Cop out for those who dont want to do anything different and choose the safe route. Which i totally get if it is in fact a factor and you're vying for points and trophies, but is IMO boring and monotonous to see the same wheels on nearly everything Wheels Maketh The Car Yet they all seem to run the same wheels Intersted to hear your toughts on it LOVE the channel, will be bringing my Sex Spec Civic down for Summernats 36, keep up the GREAT work!

Hi, with judging is all about the quantity and quantity of work. Any wheel that has been worked on and detailed will gain more points than one out of the box. A three piece with different bolts and colour coded for instance. The wheels on the Porsche were a good example. They were Exquisite

Could you do a video with a show Judge to show what they look at and what they might knock the car back for?

some of the minimal dashboards look weird toe me. either have a big screen or dials for me .. fill the space or have a more custom dash

the cars are all very good just sad that if you don't have millions of dollars or a company that will buy what it takes to win the trophy's you got no hope not for the average streetrodder it's all about who has the most money let's face it not many people build their cars the cars get built by 50 different people first couple of years of this was good then it died now it's all money.

Chris in some ways your right. However if someone has the skills you can build an award winning car at home. The parts cost are still substantial at around $100k for something not too over the top.
