I already had a serious think about it as i sat for about two hours with my trucks engine idling in the traffic jams of london caused by your protest and ive come to the following decisions. Firstly you can all go fuck yourselves and shove your completely unheard and unnoticed climate change message up your arses. And second my current 1.8lt petrol powered car is soon to be replaced and ive now settled on the choice of a diesel powered v8 landrover defender. Thanks to you. Cheers.

Luke Flegg here’s my wish list: Carbon reduction: - ban fracking completely - tax rebates for solar installation - funding for battery research - ration coupons for meat, eggs, dairy (you can still have it, it can still be farmed but it’s dramatically reduced) - banning the imports of meats; if you eat it, it’s going to be British - build thorium reactors - ban the installation of gas heaters and stove tops in new build houses - tax rebates for removal of gas heating/stove tops - ramp up installation of electric car charging stations across the UK - ban the manufacture of non-electric or non-hydrogen cars, lorries, buses and trains in 5 years (that’s enough time for manufacturers to change design, engineering, supply lines, and tooling) - ban the import of the same starting immediately - ban the export of oil (use for domestic market only as gas use ramps down, but also necessary plastics) - fund research for the engineering of electric planes - fund research into recycling spent materials (especially rare earth metals used in batteries that take a lot of carbon to dig out of the earth and transport from Australia etc) - regulate a switch to carbon sequestering concrete - build more offshore wind farms - funding for researching how to scale up geothermal energy (oil companies are well placed to do this as they are experts in drilling. Maybe they can be refocused on this). - slap sanctions on Brazil until they reverse their recent forestry policies. Slap sanctions on any other country clearcutting and burning forest for profit - ration coupons for clothing to combat fast fashion. Subsidies for poorer people so they can invest in well made sustainable clothes - ban polyester in frequently washed garments (ie not outerwear or special use garments that actually benefit from polyester). It’s used because it’s dirt cheap but it fuels fast fashion - a plastic tax for items using non-recyclable plastic packaging Carbon mitigation: - plant billions of trees in the UK. Reclaim grazing farmland for forests - plant trees on off shore platforms (not my idea, but seems scalable) - clean up fish nets from the ocean to help marine life rebuild - heavily regulate the fishing industry using a hui system (a hui is a Hawaiian word for an area that’s regulated by an expert to say when and how much food can be taken in an area; this can be automated) also to help marine stocks recover - help to green the Sahara (there are already projects doing this). Provide expertise and funding. - funding for carbon sequestration research - regulate glass containers so that they are made in a set of uniform sizes so they can be washed and reused by any manufacturer rather than being melted down and reformed - help to plant trees in other countries Misc: - a global genomic survey of as many species as possible. Multiple uses for research (ie medicine) but it’s the only way to recover from a mass extinction if we take too long to turn things around - keep churning out quality BBC documentaries on nature and the climate crisis to shame other countries into doing more - set a net zero goal of 2030 - shared technologies with other countries - codify into law a robust, clear, and humane asylum/refugee process. Work with Canada on resettlement plans (Canada has the most space). People will come, let’s not be horrible to them.

The truth is we are in the 6th mass extinction 250 species are going extinct daily.its called the anthroposcene epoc. Human caused. Renewables can't scale to provide the energy that we need for current lifestyles we're only at 3% 97% is still fossil fuels, we must cut back, change globally. It's called deep adaptation. Our earth can not sustain life we are using future generations resources. We wasted 40 years to adapt from oil, the oil companies New of the impact way back then that's why the propaganda for so long is it real blah blah blah. So now we are fucked so much so that we are now on the list for extinction . Look at the ipcc report, look at the counsel of atomic scientists doomsday clock, 2019 they put it at a worse level than the world was at during ww2. Governments around the world are starting to discuss wartime measures everyone working towards one goal as they did in ww2. Sweden is already doing it, the have rolled out their programs for each family to be self sustaining. It's being taught in schools again, serious serious stuff. Once you start listening to the expert you'll soon realize the truth that really has been systematically kept from us or minimized or fooled that we just need renewables. I know the Canadian government banned scientifis from speaking and defended the science so they couldn't report . Once I heard Greta thornburg she started stricking from school, why educate me if I'm not going to have a future, speech to the economic forum I started researching and it is horrifying. Our house is on fire we need to panic and act. I hope this helps get you started on being informed. Share what you can.

The Voodoos there may not be too many humans left in the world by 2100 due to climate change. We are close to 2 degrees Celsius above global average temperature prior to 1750 which was when industrialization happened. If we get to 3 or 4 degrees Celsius we are screwed

@@humanlovesolidarity4718 Yes i have subscribed to Paul Beckwith for a number of years,however if long term mathematical equations could be applied accurately to Earths individual climate systums,then the scientific community would all be on the same page,and that is why long term estimates vary enormously.

How do we keep people, especially in the US, from driving cars? If somebody has a family to feed and must drive an hour round trip everyday to go to work and there's no public transportation, how do we keep these people from burning oil in their cars and eating meat? Is demonstrating in downtown London going to keep anybody from driving to their job in Illinois? I'm with you, I sympathize 110% with the cause, but is what we are going to do going to work? In 2003 I demonstrated in Chicago against the Iraq war, I was pushed by a cop on his horse, but the US still went there and is still there today. I fail to see how we can change anything with demonstrations anymore.

demonstrations raise politicians awareness, however it is the arrests that really make the difference..XR in London has spawned lots of worldwide groups, no doubt in your local area. so no action goes to waste.

Hallo , ich finde es ja echt top das sich so viele Menschen für den Umweltschutz aktiv sind und etwas dafür tun möchten . Aber sie tun es indem sie andere Menschen mit Angst dafür sich zu interessieren, genau dies haben auch die nationalsozialisten getan !!! Desweiteren sollten die Menschen doch erst einmal dafür sorgen , das der Mensch anständig Geld an der arbeit verdienen tut , denn dann kann der Mensch auch Sachen kaufen die der Umwelt nicht so sehr bzw. gar nicht schaden würden !!! Ohne genügend Lohn für arbeit kann kein Mensch Dinge kaufen die der Umwelt nicht so sehr schaden zu fügen .... . Denkt mal darüber nach bitte !!! Ich z.b. Habe 10 Klassen in der Schule abgeschlossen und habe zwei Facharbeiter Briefe und verdiene knapp 1100€ netto und wie soll ich dann irgendwelche Sachen egal was ob Lebensmittel oder sonstige Dinge , wenn ich kaum Geld zum überleben habe !!! Also kaufe ich logisch Wurst die in Plastik eingeschweißt ist und dies schadet der Umwelt , also müsste man erst einmal mehr Geld verdienen um Wurst zu kaufen die nicht in Plastik gepackt wurde !!‘ nur ein Beispiel von mir , und ich kann noch Beispiele ohne Ende bringen .... . Dann müsste es auch in Provinzen mehr Radwege geben , was hier bei mir auch nicht der Fall ist !! Also fangt doch bitte mal an für die erstens mal wichtigen Dinge an zu demonstrieren und wenn der Mensch dann gut verdient , also nur so viel das man sich auch Umwelt freundliche Dinge leisten kann !!
