First surfed this break in the summer of 1984 after just having moved back to Michigan from California after graduating from MSU the year before.

Hit Lake Michigan during a storm or afterwards and those waves are pretty good.

I was on Lake Michigan a few times in the Milwaukee area. Clear sand, calm waters, it is my ideal spot to paddle. Inland lakes have too many weeds.

Even in the summer! Fishing steelhead trout and salmon and surfing. Falling in love your zone. What a beautiful place.Can you and your friends check out our fly fishing flies and gear .Love to see some on the lake. Planning a trip there next year.Can not wait. This summer footage is so amazing!

@@forjahlove Just a funny term we use for "barely standing up on a board and going straight into shore" LOL. We reserve "surfing" for actually flowing with the wave direction and carving the shoulder/face.... aka Phase 3 of becoming a surfer. We all had to start somewhere... 🤙
