hmm yes and no. Dylan is an amazing guy but i’ve been in a relationship with someone who is very similar to him. They are amazing but some people feel very trapped with people like them, because they (the guys in this case) very much build their life around the relationship. This can feel super restricting, even though this is not at all what they want us to feel, which is ultimately really sad because it ends in a break-up where one feels freed from a potentially amazing spouse& the other one is heartbroken.

@@CanHSoccer1827 I never said to stay in a relationship you're not happy in, seeing the reason for their break up wasn't being unhappy but simply to have more time for themselves is the reason I said what I said and I never said there were no guys like dylan I said there are not a lot of them and even if there were a lot of guys like him doesn't mean you'll find love with those guys that's my point really, finding someone who's truly in love with you and cares about you is very damn hard, like I said you have to be very lucky to find true love in this lifetime but you have a point as well they are indeed very young and have plenty of time but I never denied that though I'm just saying summer might one day look back at what she had with dylan and regret the decision she made cuz like they said themselves what they had was very special but then again if they're meant to be one way or another they'll find their way back to each other

@@chihiro7861 i was debating whether or not to reply to this but after putting in some thought... how you boutta tell me to stop tearing women down after you just told me to grow tf up? My last intent was to tear Summer down. I do understand that as a young woman she is entitled to do whatever she wants without explanation. However, as much as I love Summer, I felt the need to defend Dylan because in my opinion (which is a god given right to myself) I felt like she was speaking for the both of them and justifying the reason that they broke up improperly and quite inappropriately. Dylan was clearly heartbroken, and I felt that it was wrong of Summer to assume that the break up was something they both wanted. A true feminist does not believe that Women are superior to men, which is why I chose to defend the male in this situation because IN MY OPINION, I felt that the female was in the wrong. Again, a young woman is entitled to action without justification... but it is not my fault that Summer decided to justify her actions and I disagreed with the justification.

Saqina Qamilia i think when relationships become public it becomes really hard to stay together because you have unnecessary pressure. it’s like when you feel something very strong, but then when you put it into words it losses its importance... i believe it’s something like that.. but anyhow a relationship is between two people, not three and definitely not thousands

just watch the christmas vlogs (vlogmas) of that summer made with dylan in them. you can see the difference then and now between how she seems to act. she doesn't necessarily act rude or selfish BUT she is just isn't as down to earth as she used to be. i mean she is friends with media popular girls and guys and just since moving to la a lot of people can see this change. i have watched her videos for two years and i can safely say that she has changed and i just want her to find her roots again. no hate just my opinion. also she seems salty about a lot of things her fans say, she gets easily defensive.

riona clariss she might be going through stuff! a lot of people do and it can change who you are as a person i agree! BUT in the beginning of this specific livestream she asked for everyone to say their questions (about their relationship), and when they did she started degrading their thoughts and was getting fairly defensive. she may be having a problem and i know that a social media break would be good for her instead of being objective towards her fans :) i love her and always have so i just kinda know a change in her on screen** when i see one

Yeah I kind of agree but I think the reason she is particularly snappy is maybe because she’s human and she’s just gone through a breakup. Everyone deals with breakups differently and she seems to be the type of person that instead of getting sad she stuffs all her feelings down and either gets on with it or gets angry. So she is probably just trying to cope

I feel bad for Dylan. He is such a sweet guy with good looks and a kind heart, and Summer just broke it off with him. I wish them the best tho and for Dylan to find someone who loves him back.

Their relationship was toxic from the moment Summer broke up with Adam for Dylan and started dating right after, like wtf who does that? That’s disrespectful for both sides. I wouldn’t trust someone like that. Like how do you expect someone to respect the relationship and the break up and be mature about it when you MET HER in pretty much the same scenario, just with her ex. They were cute and all but being so young and so invested in a relationship is draining, especially when you want to achieve more things. We obviously don’t know what happens behind doors and I feel stupid even leaving this comment, but from my perspective they needed each other but they weren’t meant to last as they mentioned.

Dylan is breaking my heart I wanna cry i know we’re all just fans and don’t know the full story but I only knew Dylan through summer and he always seemed so in love with her. I wonder why she felt they need all this “independence” you can be independent with someone too.

I agree 100%. Obviously we don’t know the full story and may never know but his heart eyes were always so obvious from the beginning. I found him through her and they were the only couple I could find that didn’t make me want to stab my eyes out. It’s because their relationship was so amazing. I don’t know how to put into words all the great things about them. The fact that they waited until marriage was such a big thing to me (not shaming anyone else) and they just seemed like the best role models ever. I’ve never been so involved and depressed about some youtube couple who I don’t know breaking up. I literally just want to ball my eyes out and I’m not just saying that. It’s literally the saddest thing ever.

Dylan is so so respectful to Summer, he was really mature, serious and loving in their relationship. That’s the kinda guy u need. I don’t get why Summer let him go..

Beth Rodgers true like I’ve never seen her act like that before.. especially not with dylan. And I know it’s all really uncomfortable to be filming and explaining publicly with one another, but dylan seems to be wanting to be mature about it and he’s hurt, summer seems more reliant and is being kind of immature by saying “this is so awkward “ and “this is weird”. I feel like people are not being fair on Summer. I get her and I feel her 100%, she’s one of those girls who has always kept it together in public so she probably doesn’t cry on camera because she hold things in. It’s not because she hurts less than Dylan, it’s just because she’s strong and when you’re in the public eye, (or not), often being too strong eventually becomes a norm for you and you just stop feeling altogether sometimes. It numbs you. There’s nothing such as it’s easier for who and it’s harder on who. Please stop and give both of them space. Just my two cents.

Adeline Chai i think this is a bit misleading. i agree that yeah she probably just hides her feelings but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s strong. it seems like you’re saying the guy isn’t as “strong” for showing how he feels. this is exactly what makes young boys and even older guys feel like they can’t show emotion - because people will think they’re not manly enough! other than that i agree with you and i hope people don’t feed into the societal norm. thanks for coming to my ted talk 😋 ( AND i hope you or anyone else doesn’t take offense to my comment bc this isn’t meant w bad intentions)

Gabby Espina I didn’t mean to say that Dylan wasn’t strong, I stand with you, believing that by any means any guy should feel free to show his emotions in any form and our society should 120% support that. My comment above was directed specifically towards people who were bashing her for what they saw on the surface - she “looked” like she wasn’t “hurt enough”. I’ve supported Summer before they got together and the reason why I stayed was because I loved her as a person and as an influencer who has depth. I could relate to her and her personality based on her videos so I just wanted to voice my opinion above.
