Hi sweet Amy - I absolutely love your family room. It looks so great. It is super hot here in Texas already. Definitely summer. It was a month ago today that I was taken to the hospital in A myasthenia crisis. But today I am feeling good. I’ve had several good days and I’m going to make my first solo trip out to the hairdresser today. Will go to the doctor tomorrow to see what next steps are. I will be starting some infusions to put antibodies in to block my bad antibodies. I’m thankful to be feeling better and getting to do more and more each day. Thank you so much for your prayers . Love in Christ.

Hi Amy. My niece has two dogs that are huge shredders this time of year. So much so, she's not allowed to bring them to my house during that time. Lol. I love how you refreshed your family room. I especially love your coffee table decor. Please keep my son, Jason, in your prayers. He had to have surgery today for some removal of cancer on his nose and the side of his face. My favorite is the gallery wall behind the sofa... and that gorgeous wicker vase!!!! You have a great eye for composition. Love the textures and colors. I also did that subtle pale golden yellow this year. But I have a cobalt blue sofa and chair. I am surprised I didn't realize before how great they look together. Your living room always looks so immaculate.

Your home looks so fresh and airy! Just enough decor so that it looks cozy! in my opinion I think laying out a blanket throw and pillow makes it feel and look cozy. I have a dog too and the roller you have is a great tip! I have one too, works better than the vacuum ! Also when you need something but don’t have either one you can use duct tape or packing tape, roll it on itself to make a circle of sticky use your hand to hold and blot the couch with it! I truly love how you decorate. The only unrealistic thing for me and our lifestyle is all the stuff on the coffee table. We have one living room which means TV watching and reading and hosting are done in this room, which also means a lot of feet up on the coffee table, let alone stuff being taken out by 2 Labs tails😅, not to mention lots of grandchildren- it’s always been like this as our home has been Grand Central Station for our family, friends and neighbors. I have always been minimal (not minimalist though I tend that way) on table top decor. I agree with changing out pillows and other items to freshen and update a room versus a complete redo.

Looks so pretty and fresh!

You have a beautiful family room. Such warm and cozy colors. You mentioned new sofas and may I say the color is exactly what I have been looking for without going outside of home. I have rheumatoid arthritis and myasthenia gravis both so most days are just doable at best and shopping is out of the question at this point. I am getting treatments for both but finding a good combination has been challenging. Didn't intend to whine, so sorry. Just wanted to say you are a true inspiration. Thank you.
