Omg I'm so glad wearing sneakers with dresses has become acceptably stylish! As a millennial who traveled a lot in Europe from 2010-2014sih, I struggled so much walking around in my "fashionable" shoes and often just gave up and wore my sneakers with dresses but felt so frumpy. Really nice but I think the ideal shoe is a flat leather sandal when it is hot. A vast majority of women wear that in France or Italy during summer.

personally I end up walking like 8-10 miles daily when I’m on vacation in Europe so flat leather sandals would wreck my feet! I need that arch support and sandals sound like a recipe for blisters.

@@erinnorris Not at all, flat leather sandals with a greek style are not painful att all. And I walk here everyday a lot, I am parisian. You have excellent barefoot european brands that produce that, and maybe the quality of leather shoes of this type is just better in Europe. The arch support is a myth, you need to exercice your foot...

I only meant to share a personal anecdote for people to consider - I think it’s important when packing to bring the shoes that are most comfortable to you personally, keeping in mind that vacation travel often involves quite a bit of walking. My feet are quite strong from many years of ballet training, but 10+ miles is quite a lot more than I would regularly walk in my day to day life so I think it makes sense that my feet would want a little extra comfort and support for consecutive long sightseeing days.

I think you’re a deep winter, which is what I am too. The lavender color and blues make you pop
