It did count. Japanese majors are usually best of 3 sets even in top 8. Trigger was on Losers side and 2-0's the first set, getting the bracket reset.. Somebody just forgot to reset the game counter for a bit there.

Why does it always feel like Japanese players are on a completely different level than US players. No one in the US region could ever play either of these characters as well as Trigger and TG
