Sultans of Swing - Smashing Dragons

Музыка

Thank you to our mystery bass player! And thanks as well to Fin for help during the recording and Peter for help with the mixing.
When we made this video we wanted to get the best sound quality we could by recording the sound first under studio conditions and then mixing it to produce a final version - only then did we record the video showing the band performing to the sound track. The sound recording also has a rhythm guitar part (played by the lead guitarist) and of course the bass guitar part played by our guest mystery bass player (actually he is the lead guitarist's maths teacher from school). What that means is that there may be points in the video where you can hear stuff that is not actully being performed. There may even be parts in the video where we edit in a close up taken from the individual sound recordings that we did on a different day and they are wearing different clothes! Don't panic! We are new to this so we are still learning how to make videos!

@@theceska8345 Give her praise for everything she does, if you can. Praise installs a self-confidence no one can otherwise apply, it has to come from within. I can be helped along though, and that's what honest happy praise does for a child who might otherwise lose faith in their abilities, or their self.

I'm 16 and in a band called Party Hat Club. We are playing our first gigs this summer and already have built a decent following and are even traveling 5 hours to Chicago to play a music festival and I can confirm this is totally were it all starts. Playing in a band for the first time when I wasn't much older than these guys is what really began to set me up for success. Even though I play a different instrument in this band than I did those years ago, it was very formative in my abilities to collaborate with others. You guys sound great already and if you put in the work you can go great places. Never stop playing music.

It was ALL there....vocal talent ,musical talent, good looks, appropriate attitude....and they managed to pull it off without giving me that sad feeling ya get when you see children that KNOW too much about adult world. it's a miracle that any kids nowadays can amuse themselves like this without having either a mobile phone or a computer screen/ video game to watch... it's the curse of their generation... critical musical areas of a decent lead guitarist and a listenable vocalist are well covered here and they all keep the rhythm going along nicely... as kid bands go this is definitely one of the better ones to watch... so well done parents and rock on generation alpha!! 🤘😊🔊🎸

Every time I watch these guys they are better than the last time. The vocals were great, the guitarists was spot on and the drummer and keyboardist were a great back up. I have to say these guys are sure adorable. Makes me wish I was a 12-year-old girl so I could stand in line to ask them out on a date. Lol. Love you guys. Keep on making us smile. Never give up your music.

Very nice that the younger generation appreciate "Sultans of Swing" and pick it up in 2024. It was Summer of 1978, we were on holiday in Scotland. At that moment the music scene was mainlly lead by punkrock and disco... Every time when we passed by some cafés and heard some parts of this new sound. So clean, pure, honest, refreshing and melodic. So curious by which group? Until after 2 weeks back in Holland we know for sure: Dire Straits. This song became my all time favourite. I've seen DS two times live in concert. Thank you, Mark Knopfler & co! Also thanks to MK (so humble) for his charity project "Going Home" [instrumental theme from "Local Hero", 1983], recently with 60 guitarplayers... Wonderful !!!

Glad the description explained the addition of multiple guitars and bass .as well as, as different rhythm than hearing being played at times…. Also it being exolained that even the parts we dont see are almost all these kids makes it all completely acceptably awesome 🤟🏼✌️👍🏼
