No why should they have worked together? Why should have murad shared HIS empire with her? Murad was right, she wanted to be a regent forever, she was thirsty for power. Murad was the sultan he took back what was his and had always been his. The sultan is the only true owner of the empire.

I love how this scene shows the difference between Murad and his elder brother Osman. When Osman saw his mother calling a secret Divan, he felt so betrayed and acted like a kid. He killed one of the Viziers mercilessly and removed them all from his Divan. He didn't even listen to his mother when she tried to explain it to him, and even forbid her from seeing her children again. Murad, on the other hand, dealt with it calmly, summoning his mother and asking for an explanation, saying his bit and then exiling her to the Old Palace. At first glance, you'd think Murad would be more enraged with this but no, he dealt with it very calmly without any fuss, trying to be the voice of reason to his mother.

After sultan Sulaiman it was Sultan Murad who goes to fight with his army.. After 100 times a sultan goes to fight.. After sultan sulaiman death no sultan goes to fought with his army in the battle ground.. But Sultan Murad again started the military compaign and again started a era of victories.. He was so powerful sultan of the ottoman Empire. He never give up. It was only sultan murad who faced all those rebellious people and also faced all those betrayel of his own army and his own people. His grandfather Sultan Mehmed the son of Safiye Sultan was cruel therefore Sultan Murad happened to be cruel just like him. Sultan Mehmed executed 19 of his half brothers when he became sultan. Sultan Murad is merciless just like his grandfather. Remember that Sultan Ahmed was a kind peaceful sultan but Murad is the worse sultan in ottoman history, he s known for being incredibly cruel to his people. Sultan Sulieman was the best Sultan and Mustafa would have been even greater had he not being executed by Sultan Sulieman. Ibrahim pasha was the best grand vizier in ottoman history, he spoke and wrote 5 languages and lead many campaigns without Sultan Sulieman present.

Gosh i hated Murad after this episode more and more. He was so stupid that he never seen, that Sinan is betrayer. She was fightning for him but he was, same as Atike, very ungrateful children. Whole second season was so much cruel to epic character as Kösem is. Many disgusting things. Farya, who never existed. She was responsible from death of her son Ibrahim. Children of her were against her and were supporting their own enemies. Season two was so unfair.

Murad and atike learnt ingratitude from kosem,the biggest ingrate, didn't she turn her back on safiye, her biggest benefactor, when it suited her, didn't she kill iskender who saved her not once but twice,for power,kosem is drunk on power, that is her biggest love, so stop talking as if she is a selfless saint when she is one of the most selfish and arrogant person there.

@@MotherNature166 if you are being truthful, safiye was good to kosem in the beginning,but kosem being the arrogant ingrate that she is turned her back on her when she needed her despite the support and care safiye gave her, and kosem killed her own sister not safiye because of her jealousy and insatiable desire for power, iskender saved her life twice but she caused his execution because of her hatred for safiye, please she is a very selfish and ungrateful person who doesn't respect anyone.

@@omolevincentia3447 kosem only turned her back on safiye when Ahmet became ill and instead of supporting him safiye was willing to put mehmet giray on the throne. She also killed kosem's father in cold blood. Also kosem knew if iskender's life was spared safiye would find a way to turn him against kosem and put him on the throne which would cause the death of all her sons. Also kosem ordered her sister's death because she was poisoning ahmet and she didn't know her true identity. When she learnt she was her sister she tried to take her orders back but it was too late. Safiye her so-called benefactor called her sister to the palace on purpose and she was the one to tell kosem of her real identity just so that she would suffer from guilt and grief.

@@sameenshahid7457 What did you want safiye to do, every one thought Ahmed was going to die,even his own mother, that's why the sacrifice to cure him was so great,and kosem didn't turn her back on safiye because of that,that is a silly excuse,if we are honest, she did it to become more powerful in the harem by eliminating her, she caused her father's death ,if she has helped safiye ,that wouldn't have happened,and she killed iskender for power even after saving her twice,so all the good things you do for ingrates like kosem and Murad becomes null once you become a threat consciously or unconsciously to their power, you said for her children, does protecting your children give you the right to kill innocent people much more people who have saved you, she didn't kill her sister because she was poisoning Ahmed ,she killed her because she was afraid she would steal Ahmed's heart from her aka her power, it was not her place to kill her, what she have done is investigate and give the evidence back to Ahmed who would make the final judgement, but she didn't do it because even she knew it was just speculation,it was just an excuse to justify her cruelty, please safiye didn't kill her sister ,she only put her in the palace, kosem only felt regret because she was her blood, if the girl was another person sister ,do you think she would have cared, can you see how selfish ,she truly is,she only cares for her self and her ambitions no one else.

Hurrem sultana was first mother and wife then sultana. Valide sultan is first sultana then mother and wife. Hope that answers your question.

Kosem just has zero respect for anybody but herself...Murad was right to end her regency and even punish her for acting against his back because she never saw him as anything more than her child whom she can command what to do and tell to obey her when he was already a grown man. That's just not right. And manipulating your children with how suddenly you are so miserable when just a minute ago you were bragging about "what are you going to do?" or saying "after all the things that I did for you..." isn't right either. It's literally your job as a mother to take care of your kids, they don't own you anything for that, it's not like he should let her rule forever just because she was looking out for him when he was literally a child. And let's be honest, even that she did more for her own benefit rather than for any of her sons, because they were her only link to power after Ahmed's death. God, even Hurrem, as power hungry as she also was, never had the guts to speak like that and defy the Sultan's order. If he sent her to the Old Palace, she obeyed and then tried to reconcile instead of saying "how dare you" or "over my dead body" because girl, he's literally a sultan, want it or not, but he has power over everybody, including you

@okraklia🌸 I think they are accurate but I am not an expert, being Muslims they wouldn't be allowed to be painted by artists but the ones painted by European artists seem to have similar kinds of dress and headdresses. I don't know how much of these dresses remain from that time, when I went to Topkapi palace I saw men s dresses but not women' s displayed.

@@nerimanuzuner8287 the dresses in magnificent century series are wrong. Sure the actual valide kosem sultana wore dress but it wasn't anything close to this. There wasn't tiaras either. The only close ' crowns' to that of real life are those she wore on special occasions (like when Ibrahim ascended, she wore a high turban thing in episode 57) Valide Kosem sultan was the richest, longest, most powerful sultana and valide sultan. She made sure to expose herself wearing expensive cloths.

Why can't he respect and love her mother after all she is his mother and she did so much for the empire Giving a birth to snake like him . I love kosem . she lost her father her sister her husband family children . She went through so much no one can endure He is cruel and evil and she did good getting rid of him .He was actually power thirsty
