Dude same when I started reading the manga after the anime’s s1 ending I was surprised how different the vibes feel not to say the anime is bad by any means in fact the anime did a great job especially wit the action. The best way to put it is The anime feels more like ur typical high octane action shonen but the manga feels more like a horror Harry Potter

I think it's because the author seems kinda crazy with it lol. I mean that I'm the best way. It's just I feel like he built this serious world and power system outline and then filled it with the zaniest ideas. Two things I don't like are how overly complicated things can be and the culling games. The culling games concept seems like the laziest way possible to bring past characters back and have a sorta tournament arc. As long as I ignore that though every thing else is great. I love the back and forth tension he builds for fights and how you can see the villians endgame alot of the time but can't imagine how he's going to bring all the pieces together. Pretty classic anime trope but it's done well here.

@Freddie Flores I can't say for sure because I'm the same as you and started reading after season one but I feel like things just feel more serious because the story has progressed. It's the content not the people making the anime. Well, that and keeping things black and white always seems more edgy lol. Besides that, compare season one character arcs to the rest. Panda, gojo, maki, the principal, nanami, nobara!... excuse me...that wound hasn't quite closed yet. Just imagine how the "what kind of girls do you like"(todo?) guy is going to be now with his master dead. Tokyo ghoul was like that. The only difference was that it went from depressing to really depressing lol.

I really wanna see Kashimo just smoke a bunch of soldiers like no tomorrow. It’ll be a field day. I also think that Sukuna and Kenjaku still have different motives, mainly because Sukuna is more of an individualist and seeing him work together or even LISTEN to someone like Kenjaku, that’s not him. I also believe when it comes to it, Uraume allegiance is more towards Sukuna than Kenjaku, like a Servant-master relationship.

I also wonder what would yuta do. His too kind so he won’t kill them, I imagine him getting surrounded but nonchalantly stands there and tanks all the bullets because his that durable. I mean they’re having a hard time with the propeller how much more from a special grade.

Well we know there’s an order to how each Shikigami is tamed, and it was mentioned somewhere on Reddit that a tamed Shikigami will be the one used to tame the next one (e.g: Max Elephant is number 5 so was used to tame Rabbit Escape, number 6, which makes sense as the water can drown them no matter the numbers) so assuming this Shikigami is number 7 then Rabbit Escape would’ve been used to tame it, so prolly a strong offensive one but doesn’t do too well when heavily outnumbered. I’m thinking a Tiger could be cool, as Tigers are often seen in Japanese mythology controlling “elemental forces of wind and rain”. Another reason why I think a Tiger is plausible is because Tigers are apart of Chimeras: Monkey head, Tiger limbs, raccoon dog body, snake tail. So assuming Megumi will one day fuse Shikigami, a tiger could play a big role in that. Chimera’s are also known as Nue. Funnily enough the same name as the bird, so maybe one day he’ll create Nue Totality which will fuse Nue, Orochi and a tiger 🤷‍♂️

I predict that this arc is going to surpass the Shibuya Incident Arc when it finally concludes lol I mean really, no dull moment in this arc and the twists and turns keep coming plus the hype that Gege is cooking is off the charts as well. The man doesn't miss

In my opinion, just because of the fights we got, it has already surpassed shibuya. Shibuya has more emotional stuff in it, but the fights in the culling games are just crazy. Not that the shibuya fights were bad, but the culling game fights are even better imo

@Catalanski I agree too but I wanna be fair to the entire arc. Shibuya ended on a 10/10. Right now, we're in goat status of jjk imo but unfortunately the ending could potentially be fumbled (I highly doubt cause Gege gives us nothing but gold) but that's why I would like to not jump to conclusions at this time. Side note, whats your favorite fight so far in the culling games? Mine is the Hakari/Kashimo fight. It was straight heat from beginning to end lol

I hope they raise the episode count for future seasons tbh , take the time and give us a 48 episode season so we get an episode a week for a full year to cover the story from wherever they leave off in shibuya to the end of series that would be sooo sick I honestly wish seasonal anime would do that more,, take 2 or 3 years and give us 48 episodes a season and while one season is airing they can begin on the next one so we only wait 2 years btwn seasons once a show gets going

Bro the anime is going to reach legend status when they finally adapt everything from the manga. Tbh it’s going to reach legend status with shibuya already, but the culling games stuff will elevate that even further. Just imagine the fights lol. Hakari vs Kashimo will be one of the best animated fights EVER. Yuki vs kenjaku will be absolute fire too. (Not to mention all the other stuff tho) I’m so damn excited and can’t wait for them to animate this stuff.

I think in the coming chapters we're going to see a clash in ideologies between yuji and megumi. In this invasion yuji is obviously going to refrain from killing the soldiers since theyre human and non sorcerers at that. Megumi on the other hand will prob be more ruthless. So yuji is prob going to notice how megumi is changing (since he most likely doesnt know that megumi killed someone when fighting reggie)

I think Kenjaku is playing Uraume. Their plans seem too different to me. Uraume's goal is to ressurect Sukuna but what Kenjaku really wants is him and Yuji to coexist together.

@@realtruth1448 It doesnt mean he is working with Sukuna. We know that they had met before because sukuna is a player in the culling games so he made a pact with sukuna. It is possible that kenjaku himself made sukuna into 20 curse objects but that's not confirmed. However, sukuna was surprised when he couldn't control yuji, while yuji was specifically created by kenjaku to be the vessel.

I already talked about this theory but i will give it more detail this time: It's a theory on Megumi going absolutly nuts against the soldiers and slaugther them becuase he will realice that they will try to go after Tsumiki since she's also a target and he will separate from the group to go after her, Yuji will disagree on killing these people and they will have a strong arguement about it but the reason Megumi will slaugther them is because he knows they are nothing but cannon fodder to the culling games, Megumi knows that from the moment they entered the colonies their fate was sealed so him killing them changes nothing but even tho Yuji knows that he will not agree, knowing Megumi he will for sure transfer all his points to Yuji before he leaves just in case. Some people believe that because of Megumi trying to protect Tsumiki he will do black flash and ascend to a new level and if he does do that it is perfectly possible for him to learn reverse cursed technique thanks to black flash.

Confirmed fights in the future 1. Sukuna vs Hajime(Hakari is the expert on hosting fights, and hajime wants to fight sukuna) 2. Gojo vs Sukuna(Sukuna stated once he’s free he wants to fight gojo first, and gojo/sukuna are a duality, my theory is that they’ll both be freed at the same time, also kenjaku stated sukuna is plan b for gojo if the prison realm doesn’t workout) 3. Yuji vs Sukuna(the MC always fights his inner demon) So that’s 3 fights confirmed for just SUKUNA!!!! Also quick theory Since Sukuna is pretty much the same as tengen as they have transcended humanity, and kenjaku CSM can capture tengen, so technically kenjaku can capture sukuna as well, and that’s probably why he sees sukuna as a pawn

I think csm works on stronger spirits only if they have been defeated or aren't that strong, Mahito was weakened by Yuji and Tengen doesn't appear to be a fighter at all

Only reason kenjaku could use cursed spirit manipulation on tengen is because tengen missed the last merge with the star plasma vessel and his evolution starting becoming unstable. He said it himself his soul is now more cursed spirit than human which makes him subject to cursed spirit manipulation. Sukuna on the other hand is living inside yuji who is a human so of course cursed spirit manipulation wont work on him

His cursed technique doesn't really work without his domain. Some socerers can't use their Ct under normal conditions. At example yuta also can't use his Ct outside the 5 minutes where he can fully use Rika.

that could really backfire. If yuji is created to be a vessel that can supress Sukuna, he maybe could also supress Kenjaku. Even tho geto is dead we saw back in shibuya that he could use his hand to choke Kenjaku for a few seconds. So the body hopping Ct might have weaknesses.

I wonder if sukuna is meant to control that being that kenjaku is planning to unleash.

I think the soldiers did not answer the kogane is not because Kenjaku told them not to, it si because they cannot see Kogane. Soldiers are non sorcerer so it is possible that they cannot feel and see curses in normal circumstances.

So they just need to lock gojo to make the story interesting🤣🤭

basically foreign countries are also connected with curse energy but not as much as in Japan, for example miquel & momo father. curse energy is born not because of tengen barrier but from humans themselves (reason geto hate non-sorcerer), perhaps It’s a situation where it is better to have all that cursed energy & curses focused in one place & dealt with there, rather than having the whole world deal with it. It’s like have a war confined to a limited amount of countries rather than having literally the whole world involved.

It's not only Japanese who have curse energy. It's all human. Hence, yuki goes researching worldwide, Miguel, Momo's father. It's just, japanese ppl have different connection with CE, the reason is yet to be explained, I guess it something had to do with heian era and sukuna stuff. Tengen barrier just managed to control the curse energy in order to prevent it get out of hand

Weird how no one's talking about the ass pull of just ignoring the kogani, like what happened to entering a colony makes you a player and then all the rules that follow after, there haven't been many or really any times I can think of off the top of my head that jjk has had ass pulls like this so hopefully the next couple chapters put what's happening into perspective, atleast for me anyway

Manga has been dragging for way too long… and with Gege’s estimate of the series coming to conclusion within a year is tragically telling how dogshit the ending is gonna be. So much wasted potential.. really disappointing😪 Gods….50+ chapters wasted on this culling game bullshit that was basically combat filler. None of which aided in pushing the story further, with the exception of the last few chapters. We still have no clue who the bigger villain is going to be, nor what either of the two main villains’ motives are, nor do we know what occurred during the Heian period or really anything prior to Yuuta. If the series intends to stick to Gege’s original estimate of 3 seasons, we are most definitely >75% in the manga. With so many unanswered plot points remaining and the clock running, JJK will most likely be the greatest failure in anime/manga history (in terms of lost potential) as sad as it is to say. Really hope it doesn’t end up as diggity-dogshit but it’s sure looking like it more and more.

Yuki ? Dead Mai ? Dead Muta ? Dead Nobara ? “Dead” Zenin clan besides megumi & maki ? Dead Nanami ? Dead Todo ? Handicapped Inumaki ? Handicapped Gege has kept us on our toes, unlike many other battle shounen mangaka’s, we don’t know who’s going to die!
