I lived in Soi 22 back in 1999! In the Liberty Place Apartments and yes they were cheap then and I’m guessing they are still cheap. There was a small Northern Thai restaurant up closer to sukhumvit road end and they made the best north Thai sausage. B-52 bar was my local! Happy days!

Hey thanks for this detailed video of Soi 22. Few months ago I was walking in the sweltering heat about 1000-1030 looking for these massage places but didn't know about the small alleyways. Got as far as maybe the Marriott before I gave up and went to a 7-11 there to get a cold drink. Is there a 7-11 on the side of the Marriott? Guess a good early time to go to the lady bars and massage places is about 1 or 2 PM if during the day and of course night time.

If you want cool, you need to head out when the sun goes down. 9am is as hot as 3pm. There is a 7/11 every block, so I'm not sure which one you are talking about. There are 100 massage places between Sukhumvit and the Marriott. I'd start with the ones near the Holiday Inn. Have a good trip. By the way, I just walked and filmed from 7am until noon. All I ask is for a thumbs up. It is hot in BKK.

14:37 I ate at Social Noodles a few months ago. Good food but too dark indoors to see what you're eating. They got some nice tunes playing so it's not your regular quick Thai noodle joint.

No my dad retired US Navy. I was born on Guam, then moved to Spain, CT and then he went to Vietnam. Been in San Diego since age 5. I just did a 4 year enlistment. I had a great time in the Navy. I was a mailman for 33 years and the 4 years Navy counted. So a decent federal pension
