such a beautiful warbird

I love the SU-22. This aircraft is such an amazing and beautiful piece of soviet aircraft engineering. I love the design...the way it looks and sounds. There is no other aircraft that attracts me more than the SU-22...Second would be the MIG-21 followed by the SU-25. The soviets knew how to build a beautiful jet powered aircraft. It´s not about politics or the role these planes were built for...Looking at an SU-22 makes me happy. Seeing it live or even flying gives me chills. I´m so glad that some airforces still have them in their inventory and use these wonderful cold war era birds.

Aun la FAP conserva algunos Sukhoi SU-22 Fitter en su base del Pato , Grupo Aéreo # 11 Talara-Piura , Escuadrón de Combate "Los Tigres " como medida de apoyo y en calidad de reserva , oficialmente ya fueron dados de baja pero este extraordinario Avión de Combate aún surca los cielos norteños del Perú .

...a estos colosos, tuve la suerte de conocerlos en la base fap de Talara en el año 1882...

Für die Su - 22 Fitter habe ich auch immer ein nettes Wort übrig, Polen ist zwar noch in Europa das einzige Land was die Su - 22 Fitter noch im Einsatz hat, Wäre es nach den Ursprünglichen Plänen gegangen wäre die Su - 22 Fitter 2015 ausgemustert worden. Aber dank einer weiteren Modernisierung fliegt sie noch für ein paar Jahre, Des weiteren haben die Polnischen Su - 22 Fitter ebenfalls Das Einheitsgrau als Tarnbemalung erhalten was allerdings das Resultat des Modernisierungsprogrammes ist. Nach der Wiedervereinigung 1990 wurden einige Su - 22 Fitter aus Ehemaligen NVA Beständen an die Wehrtechnische Dienststelle 61 nach Manching abgegeben, Um sie ausgiebig zu Erproben und zu testen ob sie für die Bundesluftwaffe tauglich ist. Letztenendes fiel die Wahl auf die MiG 29 Fulcrum die es auch schaffte ihren Dienst in der Bundesluftwaffe aufzunehmen und bis zum 4.8.2004 Treue Dienste bei uns verrichtet hat. Tolles Video!

Wie immer vielen Dank! Es ist immer eine Freude die letzten europäischen Su-22 auf einer Airshow zu sehen. Ist zwar schade das sie jetzt diese langweilige graue Lackierung haben, aber Hauptsache sie fliegen noch recht lange. :)

Aber ich erinnere mich noch als 4 Su 22 Fitter 1995 von der Tschechischen Luftwaffe beim Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford aufgetreten und eine Supertolle Performance geboten haben, Dort haben sie auch Flares verschossen stationiert waren die Tschechischen Su 22 Fitter auf der jetzigen Helikopterbasis in Namest Na'd Oslavu. In Polen ist Miroslavic Heimatbasis der Su 22 Fitter.

"Blind" fighter, without radar. Even in the Polish army, of course, only for training and demonstrations. In the event of war would fight the Cessna 150. :)

The Fitter is still in service of some countrys in africa and middle east (Syria etc.) It's a old jet, thats true. But I love this old jets.:-)

You are correct the Su-22 is an old aircraft but old doesn't mean that it is useless.You are also correct that it will not shoot down the Cessna 150 BECAUSE this is not a Multirole or air superiority fighter this aircraft has been designed as an attack and light bomber and certainly it is not going to be used in a dogfight! How about next time have a read about the roles of the aircrafts before posting a stupid comment?

In the joint excersises in Poland Su-22 M4 shot down F-15C Eagle...so it can shot down something ...

in those days they were ground controled. not even a single shot could be fired without ground control said so. and a kind of safety feature so they could not turn against the system.

GROUND attack jets don’t need radars. A-10 doesen’t have radar the same SEPECAT Jaguar, Mig-27, G-91, Su-25 etc.
