Adorable! Notes to self for Suitcase Gift Box Measurements and Scoring Cardstock 10-3/4" x 7-1/2" Score Long side 1-1/4", 4-3/4", 6", 9-1/2" Score Short side 1-1/4", 6-1/4" To decorate box need: 2 contrasting 1" x 6”? strips (perpendicular to handle). Adhere to paper before it’s folded into box shape. 6 contrasting 1" punched circles, scored/folded in quarters. [Of these for LID, 4 3/4 ones at top w/slit in front, 2 1/2 ones at bottom front, 2 1/4 ones at bottom rear. For BASE, 2 1/2 at bottom front to underneath, 2 1/4 ones at bottom underneath] For handle need: A 1" x 6” (or shorter?) strip of card for the handle and a 3/4" x 6” (or shorter?) strip to decorate it. Adhere on top of each other, then score 3/4” from each end.

Awe, this is SO adorable! I can see this wee suitcase for Easter treats; Christmas and especially a special jewellery birthday gift. Thank you SO MUCH for this wonderful tutorial. As usual, so easy to understand and very enjoyable to watch with a coffee. :-)

I like this but you didn't say how long the paper strip is that goes around the case and how long the paper is to layer the handle.

HI Thanks for the message, the strips for around are 1" x 6" and you b=need 2 of them and the handle is 3/4" wide.

On the video you said 10 3/4 x 7 1/2, but into the video it was 5" on the one side, what did I wrong

Hi, the measurements are below, sorry for the confusion. Measurements and Scoring Cardstock 10 3/4" x 7 1/2" With the long side at the top score at 1 1/4", 4 3/4", 6" and 9 1/2" With the short side at the top score at 1 1/4" and 6 1/4" You also need a 1" strip of card for the handle To decorate you will need 1" circle punched shapes and a 3/4" strip to decorate the handle

Are you putting the decorative piece at the halfway point? It’s confusing me…

Will U please tell me how U came up with your measurements, I would like 2 make a larger 1as a centerpiece?

Hi RaVerna I worked out the base size and then added the side height x 2 for the width and the length. Hope that helps!

Hi Amanda, I will do a cm version at some point in the meantime try converting the inches to cm by x 2.5
