The context is missing here, they didn't just randomly laugh at Ao's introduction. They all did an extremely short dry introduction and Ao was the only one who did her full intro with her ikemen voice, that's why they started laughing immediately.

honestly, you have to give Ao-kun some credit for still trying her hardest to stick to the "cool girl" thing even though its not at all working, which really makes it better

Apparently while ReGloss and MiComet were having dinner together Suisei was like "trying and failing to be ikemen is a great character, nice work" to Ao and Ao was like "but I think I am ikemen" or something like that. That is to say, yes she is genuinely trying rather than playing into it, which is what makes it even better.

I am Japanese and use a translator. Here is a more detailed explanation of the meaning of frog-ification. "Frog-ification" is a term used by young Japanese people to mean that you start to dislike someone you are attracted to as soon as they start showing affection towards you. However, it is often misused to simply mean that romantic feelings have cooled, and it is also used in this sense in the video. Also, Kano Eiko is a comedian who sells himself as a self-proclaimed handsome narcissist. Because he is very similar to the current Ao-kun, Ao-kun is called Kano Eiko.

Honestly, Ao-kuyu is definitely cool. Sticking to her ikemen guns even if she's a certified PON.

I like how Suisei is super ikemen without trying, and Ao-kun is PON while trying to be the ikemen type. It's like she's saying, "You've got a lot to learn, rookie" I can see Suisei being a sort of mentor to Ao

That's what Suisei (or Miko, they were arguing about it lol) first called her around her debut, and it stuck. Probably came from きゅん (kyun) which is a onomatopoeia for your heart skipping a beat. Her listeners are called 読者 (dokusha), meaning reader since she's a manga artist.

The POV switches are nice but might be best to tone it down a bit. When they start to talk fast or over each other it gets a bit frantic and hard to follow - especially since Aqua's subs are on different parts of the screen.

It's probably because they only have their own Live2D model on each screen. I think it'd be fine to crop the models out from each screen and have it all together in one. Especially in sections like these where there's nothing much going on on the screen so the focus can be on their faces.

I am in the same boat, I googled for a bit and am still not sure. The most fitting result seemed to be "a person soliciting custom or business, typically in an aggressive or bold manner" like Ao is a host who is very intense on attracting new customers like Aqua

If you had visited Akihabara, and walked along the back alleys away from the main Chuo Doori street (the one with six lanes and you have to cross in front of LAOX building), you will find women in maid outfits pushing at you to grab either their brochures or tissue packets. While these items are "free", they are often advertisements for their maid cafes or, worse, "snack bars." (In Japan, prostitution is illegal, so businesses go around this prohibition by re-labeling their establishments as either "snack bars" or host/hostess clubs. You pay to "get introduced" to the ladies/boys, and once you are "acquainted", it's no longer "prostitution", because in its strictest sense, prostitution according to the law is basically a transaction between two strangers for sexual services. You can't say you're both "strangers" when both of you are "already acquainted" beforehand.)

A tout is someone who attempts to push you something on a street, either for you to grab their brochure or tissue packets (in Japan, tissue touts are common, they are usually advertisements of "adult" "snack bars" (prostitution is illegal in Japan)), or to get you to buy something from them out of peer pressure.
