It's never hard to bot review an item, especialyl when the audience pool is like 100,000 people to 10,000,000 people. You can create infinity bots to tank the averages. Never forget that Valve often kowtow to other companies and let them do what they want on Steam as long as it doesnt break international laws. This is why they have such a good refund policy, not having one was going to cause the Australian government to deny them business rights in Australia (ACCC), and during court proceedings in Australia, Valve realised they should just offer a 2 hour refund policy worldwide. Australians can refund our games at any time as long as the reason matches up with the state of the game. I got refunds for Destiny 2 content and other games where Australian servers were removed and we were forced to join China's servers full of cheaters. I won't play in Asia, it's clear their culture permits dishonorability.

They were also they ones who coached the makers of last of us to suspend the release of last of us part two to remake it with the shemale character to kill off Joel. I got it for my gf to play on release (we’re both pretty big potterverse fans but she trumps me in that regard tremendously) and she didn’t even bother continuing forward. All be it, she prefers games like Apex Legends, Tekken, and that indie title BioMutant, but my point stands. When your C O R E fanbase is just plain bored surrounded by empty nothing ness plus the CLUNKY controls and slow user interface, idk maybe it just wasn’t written in the stars for that game to EVER be anything more than a pop.

Now what’s funny is that is they are offering fairly hefty discounts for the game now too. On steam it’s going for 40 percent off on both additions and GameStop is offering it for 20 dollars less.

its not that easy thats a symptom of the disease the disease being blackrock and vanguard's ESG rating for investment promoting DEI they just use that rating to make people pay their services to improve their ESG rating. IF there was no sweet baby inc another DEI consultation company would take their spot because of ESG rating. to purge the problem the ESG rating has to be dealt with

All of this doesn't even matter. By your standards, a game isn't going to be good or entertaining. If the gameplay and game mechanics are boring then it doesn't matter in the first place.

It probably also goes beyond that. They don’t teach you how to code anymore. They teach you how to USE code. They teach you how to use prefabs and premade engines. And then factor in absurd deadlines and “good enough for government work” becomes the SOP…now compound that with hiring the “checkboxes” and that’s where we are in the industry.

​@@roadhoundd.What killed suicide squad wasn't the gameplay it was story you guys need to realize that like or not if a story is beyond garbage no matter how good the gameplay can be it's not going to get players to stay. The only thing you're doing is making a flavor of the week. Destiny for example has average at best gameplay but surprisingly rn the story is what became it's saving grace of keeping it on life support. Cut that out you basically have a Call of Duty/halo reject

I just hope this doesn't affect Wonder Woman. From the info I have found, it is gonna be a fun game using the Nemesis System (SoM/SoW series) from Monolith.

It's rough because this genre has insane potential like we've seen in the past but this sort of performance is just going to stop companies from creating these types of games. It's pretty sad that singleplayer genres are dying because it's hard to microtransaction a game that isn't multiplayer, and they make so much more from microtransactions than game sales

Sbi is like King Midas if everything he touched turned into dogshit.

It's also bested by Batman: Arkham Asylum, a 2009 game!

I came to the realization that videogame companies dont make games. The ones that make them are the devs. So inatead of hoping to see "what will random AAA company makes next" im looking up who actually was involved with the development of games i enjoyed and see what theyre up to. Especially nowdays that people cant keep a job in the same company for more than 5 years

Not "their" game developers. I'm pretty sure they're happy with Helldivers devs though.

The main difference is that Cyberpunk could be fixed... and, eventually, it was. This dumpster fire can't. Refunds for Cyberpunk were a gamble on that quite likely, refunds for this are... refunds.

I like live service games over the old model which is, done and dusted. but it has to be done right, it needs to be fun and rewarding, not tedious and costly.

They are NOT issuing refunds. A refund is when you get your money back. What they're doing is giving you store credit. You can use that store credit to buy something else from them, yes, but at the end of the day you never actually get your money back.

This is important to point out from a sense of being factual, but the end point remains the same that the game was such a failure that people are getting forms of reimbursement from it being so bad. But your clarification is important for sure.

i personally really enjoy the SS: KTJL its a fun addicting game that just needs more content and for the bugs / issues to be fixed

i'm playing an MMO from the early 2000's on avg we get about 1k players, peak holiday event 3.6k players.

WB CEO: AAA games are too volatile. We need more focus on a F2P monetization model WB CFO (the money guy): The player count of our near decade old single player AAA game is higher and our AAA single player game from last year is still topping sales charts a year later

It's crazy because it was a fun looter shooter with the potential to be a great game. While playing you could feel how they were forcing a live service mechanic onto a single player game design.

Suicide Squad is a game that I'd gladly give a shot if it was on the Gamepass (which I've had for several years now). But as a stand-alone game it simply doesn't attact me for that full price. What a shame, but my mind hasn't changed: If they'd release it on Gamepass tomorrow I'll gladly spend an sunday afternoon on it to see if it's any fun.

I hope Stellar Blade sells well.

It's bittersweet really. People just want to play good games, but have to deal with this metric ton of corporate meddling that is only really now starting to bite them back where it actually hurts. We can only hope this means that games should improve on the basis of their own experience first, and not be treated like some auxiliary aspect to nickel and dime people out of money that they should now know to use to support best practices. Or let the loud bullies win, and have them screw things up until something gives. Companies have to make money after all.

if they want to do live service, they got to do it all within 3 months, wrapped up and done with story content. make it a weekly release event to keep players engaged and interested.

live service games should be like seasonal television shows. every week something new happens. making the player anticipating and excited to play the next installment. they got the whole idea wrong. drawing it for years is the dumbest thing on the planet. the cost of servers and maintenance is ridiculous. the lack of attention from the consumer would die within 3 months. just like it always does. I've got way more, but all companies are intentionally sabotaging themselves. something else is up. they don't like losing money but are intentionally losing money towards an agenda.

I like the game from what ive played in my cousins but in no way shud this ever be £60 hence ill wait till its really cheap or on ps plus. It has so much potential aswell 😞 I dont even mind it being live service due to the offline patch coming later, its just that its a 6/10 game while it couldve been a 8-10/10 Justice League game.

Asking $100 Australian for a mediocre game is the problem. Ubisoft and wb and all the greedy companies will learn. We now have dev teams of less then 20 ppl putting out better games for $30. Does a development team need 190 workers and 10 million budget? No. Farcy, same games reskinned. Ppl are over it, weve had it for 20 years now
