This song was made for Mukesh ji's voice. I have loved this since my childhood and saw the film when I grew up sometime in 70's. But I was surprised to find that song was visually exactly the same that I had always imagined. Mukesh ji was greatest in his style. Dilip Saab was best in enacting the songs. Salil Da's iconic music.

Besides being a great artist , Dilip Kumar sahab had been a very humble & great human being , contributing towards the welfare of the society , doing many charities as possible as well as many other humanitarian works . Even when this film 'Madhumati (1958)' went out of budget , then Dilip Kumar sahab reduced ₹70,000 of his fees & also influenced the distributors to help Bimal Roy sahab in the same who was the film's producer & director . This shows what Dilip Kumar sahab was as a person . He was , is & shall always remain my most most favourite actor among all . I consider him a role model from many walks of life .
