Raga Bhairav... Wah ... Kya baat hai...I noticed done people think the composition is in Raga Yaman Kalyan... It's obviously not TRUE...

It's Indian classical (hindustani) but sung in Persian(?)..saregamapa is Indian classical..but very nicely sung..and very nice tabla too

It’s ancient Indian classical music that has got popularized in latest centuries by Persian Afghans poets and some touch of arabs too so u can’t say it’s only Indian music all These nations have played huge role in Indian classical music that today stands so diverse and ethical.

Relax Afghan ! Persian classic means " the "Persian Classic " . The lyrics of the song is Farsi(i.e. Persian by Bedil) and the music is " Darbari" after Magul's courts ( the Persian speaking Turks who took the Persian language and culture to India.

Sumuk Kumar ,you are right,British destroyed the persian language.

I can hear clearly Indian classical influence and even the instruments are of Indian origin.

+911wtfdude which instrument? Tabla? sitar? yeah it may have been influenced by Indian music but the work and poetry itself is unique in Sarahang's work. So it's not entirely Indian classic music, although it may have resemblance

The poetry and the composition might have been his work.Nobody is claiming it to be Indian.Its just the way they are rendered and the whole tradition is Indian.

There is no shame in singing in your own traditional TAJIK music, which has a much older history than Indian/Afghan styles. Why copy Indian music??? It doesn’t sound good to listen to.
