I'm with Matt, I want the case wrapped up & we know what's going on with Sugar. And then they could move on with next season with him getting involved in another case. But now we know what he is but not all the details which they can develop on in the next season.

That's a really good theory that the movies playing in his head are what is helping suppress real flash backs! I think he does know about some of his past, but when it comes to his sister I think there are some things he doesn't know or doesn't remember. - Jess

I said last week ruby is hiding his past from him. I'm team angels. Lol This show had me on the edge. Now I can't stand David or his mom... but that hurt to see. I hope he's OK. Felt like an escape route. His father is a real piece of ish so far with stallings taking all those girls... like what kind of darkness is in them. I don't see how the roads all connect yet. But I'm watching. Something about those trees, and the leaves felt like a clue that felt more earthly eternal existence. Facinated. Came here soon as i finished episode.

Here is a thought remember the ABC tv series "Forever "?well it was about a Dr who every time he died he wound up naked in a body of water "re-born", what if Sugar is leaning in that plot direction ,but he doesn't fully understand, maybe in a previous life he was a film noir buff and that's why he has those flashbacks

Well, I posted and accidentally deleted it all. I’ll just say great vid. I never thought your theories were out of nowhere or just because they said there was a huge reveal. Had I been paying attention and not multitasking I would have seen it too. It’s obvious at this point there’s a lot more than meets the eye. He understands emotions from movies he’s watched, but he’s evolving and understanding them better now at times. He also doesn’t always get the situation either (ie Melanie & underwear). Anyway, your vid was spot on.

@@MattandJessTV I just read there’s only three more episodes left, so I kinda hope we see what’s going on with Sugar, if not through him, at least through someone else. Unless they plan on a season two and that’s the finale reveal? It would sort of be interesting for the audience to know and him not know what’s going on. It sort of creates two reveals. Idk if that makes sense, but that sort of creates another journey for next season.

The flashbacks with what sounds like a young girl giggling with a long dress running seems to be from 17-18th century. I think his own sister died and he was unable to save her. In addition I think in the very far past he murdered and now in his “new” life he is trying to make amends. As far as the line, “we are here to observe,” could even mean they are bringing people back to watch and see what occurs. No way aliens, don’t need injections their tech would be far surpassed in that area. The shot looks very similar to what was given in the 1960’s when they were Sterilized and re-used. I lived then you prayed for a brand new needle.

That's a good theory about the sister, that maybe sugar is carrying his own guilt on not being able to save her and that's why him being a PI and feeling so closely connected to this Olivia case is really haunting him. Maybe he's making up for what he thinks are his own past shortcoming? I am still team alien even though it's a way out there theory lol - Jess

I love this series, the cinematography of modern California is beautiful, the music and the acting. I love John Sugar, a modern bad a$$ P.I. that fights for the side of good and Colin looks great in those suits. Hopefully this mystery twist isn’t so out there that it takes from the strength of this series which hits on current issues such as effects of helicopter parenting, wealthy elite entitlement, sex and human trafficking

I listened to your theory again. I believe Davy is still with us. Definitely Sugars sister is the one shown running with a long dress on two separate occasions looks like in the past due to door wear and long dress. I thought I heard giggles but now she may be screaming not sure. This is his connection to this story. Carry on . I’ve never heard your statement, “we are hear to… it’s a clue but not an AI not Alien. He’s some type of undead or something really creative, I hope it’s ends well.

I'm fascinated how this series interests me. First out, I don't trust anybody in the Siegel family.... as far as I can throw my TV. And it's a very large screen. ;) This is a drama laced Publicity pump for Bernie's $60MM re-launch of Davy's career. They have all been acting up a storm for Sugar. Melanie is in, but she's not in the grand plan, because she is useful. (it was she who got Sugar to find Taylor) By the news banners and Margit's alternate reality story at the table, this is a story of one woman. Not the other 7 who signed the NDA. So to the public our oily grandson is not the serial predator who needs to be stopped,, he just did something stupid once. And as a bonus, our idiot creep feigns contrition in a suicide attempt where he somehow barely nicks his head from 0 inches.Who knows that Davy is a freak, and also knows there have been "dozens of others", and would not be able to stomach him getting a free pass to do more damage? Olivia. She would have been a risk to the Siegel's Three Act Farce. On the big question, I have to land towards Ms Jess' side 90% alien, 10% possibility Angels. They have an organization, cells, and Miller demonstrates tiers of leadership above. I fret for Sugar. He trusts Ruby completely, but she is not going to let the Sugar situation linger. She might pull the rug on Sugar in the guaranteed face-to-face with Stallings. Also I fret that Matt may be right about the payoff and Olivia has been nightclubbing in Ibiza for 2 weeks. Let's watch. ;)

I think Sugar is a hybrid human-alien (or some kind of biologically modified human). Maybe he as a human was separated from his sister just like we saw Stallings doing it to the immigrants. They may be looking for bodies that are biologically suitable for this process. The process and the end result may not be perfect and the human’s memory cannot be fully suppressed (injection needed to control this). The alien side brings intelligence, strength etc. It seems to me that while Sugar thinks he is just observing, the diary is really about him being observed, too. He and the other biologically altered ex-humans may be the real subject of observation. Maybe they want to create a perfect weapon?

And if that's the case, what could the weapon be? I think there is a real unifying factor behind a lot of the theories in that no matter what, there is some experimentation happening, and that in itself is pretty exhilarating to watch. -Matt
