Sugar Overload | Food Industry | Sugar Lobby

Sugar Overload - For the past decades, the sugar lobby has been on the offensive.
Sugar Overload (2012)
Director: Edouard Perrin, Jean-Baptiste Renaud
Genre: Documentary
Country: France
Language: English
Also Known As: Cash Investigations: Sugar Overload
Synopsis:
Every year, the average person in France eats 34 kg of sugar - twice as much as 15 years ago. 80% of the sugar we consume is hidden in everyday foods, like ‘healthy’ breakfast cereals, yoghurts or ready meals. For the past decades, the sugar lobby has been on the offensive. Not only are consumers being misled about the quantity and form of sugar in their diets, but the effects of sugar on our body are being downplayed.According to some doctors, sugar is not just an empty calorie, it’s a ‘poison’, just as dangerous as cigarettes, and a leading cause of a number of serious illnesses. As well as the epidemic in child obesity, sugar has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and many common cancers. In this investigation, we examine the sugar industry.

Insulin is the reason our bodies store fat. The more insulin over time, the more fat stored over time. Insulin is raised by glucose. Glucose comes from any carbohydrate. Sugar, bread, rice, pasta, etc. All other hormones that trigger fat gain do so by signaling for more insulin (like cortisol) Exercise can make a 10 percent dent in your fat stores because it burns up glucose, thus lowering insulin levels and allowing stored fat to be used. 90 percent is diet. The more carbs you avoid, the more fat you will shed Type 1 diabetics have 0 insulin. Before there was treatment, they would waste away and die because there was no signal to store fat. The worst carbs are the ones that hit your system fast, like sugar, bread, and pasta. The better carbs are the ones that hot you slowly. Vegetables and sweet potatoes. Easiest way to simplify changing your life is to eat only whole natural above ground foods. There is no way to overeat that continually. Even if you tried to prove a point and force feed yourself those foods for several days or a week, you would get really sick and throw up.

Yep, they’re now finding every chronic disease is linked to high insulin/insulin resistance, which is caused by eating too many carbs (including sugar) too often. It’s estimated that 93% of American adults are insulin resistant and metabolically unhealthy.

It’s even worse when combined with salt and fat. The food industry calls it the bliss factor. Even animal products are pumped full of them incl chicken with lactose and hormones.
