Very interesting machine. It seems that the top of the can sugar is cut out and probably will fertilize the soil.

Young's still have this machine! Though they only had their tracked machine still!

are those flowering cane or sorghum? if it is cane than the farmer or company must be really stupid to wait till flowering to harvest them cane. Cane lost its sugar content when flowered.

the flowers are sugar cane and no sugar loss because of the flowers so varieties flower and others don't

the tops are left in the field to retain moisture and control weeds

living in the North Eastern United States I know nothing of sugar cane..... Can the stuff being blown on the ground be used for cattle feed or dry it out and use it for something else ???

@@garykemp6436 brasil domina o assunto quando é sobre cana, no brasil não usa essa colhedoras duas linhas pois prejudica a soqueira da cana e faz ter menos rendimento no canavial, perdendo a produtividade.

I don't understand what you mean the cane is harvested green the leaf is left on the ground to stop weed growth and retain moisture it also increases microbes in the soil
