Thanks good explanation..just a bit of correction.. worshiping anything or anyone other the true one God, (Muslims call him Allah Hindu may call him Param Ishvar) the creator is extremely forbidden in Islam, there is NO such thing as Pir worship or Majar Worship in Sufism, this is strictly forbidden in Islamic Sariat and Sufis are the strict followers of Sariat, so there is nothing extra Islamic here, if any muslim worship any one or anything other then one tru God then he is immediately thrown out of the circle of islam, He is then no longer a Muslim, well then why people gather at Majars one would ask, well the Pir the Guru is a person whom have unbroken spiritual link authority all the way to Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. and through the Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. to God him self. So it's like the present Pir is connected to his Pir and he is connected to his pir and the chain continues, it's their spiritual lineage all the way to Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. and it's call Sijrah, it literally means a tree of spiritual lineage. Now any ordinary person whom initiate spiritual oath on the hand of his Pir he is calld Murid means a disciple, now the Pir the spiritual Guru begins training him spiritually, here his focus is more on the inner lower self of the disciple, He begins to transform him from within, means the Murid begins to learn how to resist the desires of his lower self his carnal desires, because the sins are mainly committed by ones over powering carnal desires, ones he is trained to resist it there are very slim chances of committing sins and crimes, once the disciple is beautified by inner transformation only then the ritual prayers like 5 times Namaj, Roza, Hajj ect. are fruitful and the person is then able to rise to a higher levels. The Pir is by doing all of the hard work becomes Kamil(perfect) and reaches the higher levels and near to the God Almighty and according to the Quran then God love them and befriend them and Quran calls them Awliyah-Allah it literally means the friends of Allah, they then become God's spiritual vicegerent on the Earth and becomes living marvels of excellent moral character. when they reaches these higher spiritual saintly levels God loves them so much so that their requests and Duvas are granted and that's the reason why the common people go to them or to their Majars in flocks, so that they could pray for them and their needs are fulfilled.

How can you say this! In Islam, Only Sufis are peaceful, if you don't recognise sufis as Muslim then who are real Muslims? Do you think Babur was a true Muslim? Or Aurangjeb was a true Muslim?
