Wish they wouldn’t change the two tones to electronic wail. Just use the two tones! Far more effective!

i note with interest-none of on call men using flashers on car or none appear to have fire signs in windows front and back to alert other users they are on way to a shout-our local station in n/ireland all 22 crew have front and rear signs on cars and vans and they always have full lights and hazzrads on on way to station? why not in main land uk? anyone?

@@southeastandsouthcentralem1355 maybe retained firefighters have a longer response time on mainland than in n/ireland-they have 5 minutes to turn in if not enough men or women show up by 5 minute timeline the despatcher at central control in lisburn will page in another crew from the nearest firestation which in out case is 9 miles away-----i checked with a guy i know works 4o miles away he has a flashing sign front and back on his car-paid for it himself-which he uses when a call comes in

@@chevy790 in UK we have 5 mins as well, just no special measures sadly, i agree we should be allowed it but hey ho, im not a ff so i wouldnt know the exact reasoning but its probably insurance in case a ff crashes

@@sircampbell1249 Yes, where they have wide roads, less traffic and little to no emergency vehicle driving training. We have standards in the UK for emergency vehicle driving and not every fighter is trained to drive under emergency conditions. POVs with blue lights would also be confusing and dangerous for the public as they wouldn't know what to do with so many blue light unmarked vehicles converging on a single location at the same time. All of their POVs would also have to be registered and insured as emergency vehicles. Retained firefighters in the UK are also required to live or work within a certain distance of the station, which rules out the need for lights, unlike in the US.
