Me and my friend saw you guys in Detroit when we were kids, with Cryptopsy, White Chapel and 6 or 7 other bands. It was my first metal concert and I got whiplash from head banging😂

But... death metal is still going strong nearly 40 years later... Suffocation, in that ad, is still writing new shit, and they've been around since the mid-80s. Not only are there decent younger bands, but tons of old school death metal bands, like Suffocation, are still playing. I'm 47 (and still record death metal (guitars and vocals)), so I was there in the early years, and metal is actually bigger now than it was back then (and I'm not referring to metalcore and nu metal). Hate when older metalheads do this shit. It just shows they're not paying attention anymore.

I stage dove off the stage in Canada Sherbrooke..while suffo was playing on stage...gorguts and malevolent creation was also playing at the show...before suffo went on we were all backstage kicking it n hanging out...suffo went on n I had too get some air...the only way out there was off the front of the stage....n I dove into the crowd ...nearly got trampled too death...it WAS AWESPME...ONE IF NOT THE BEST TIME I RVER HAD AT A SHOW....THIS BAND IS AWESOME...TRULY EXCELLENT PEOPLE TOO..N THSNKS GUYS FOR THE ADVENTURE N THE MUSIC...
