Butlers guitar sound on this version is insane.... fecking off the scale good when it kicks in on the chorus.... but tbh the whole performance is effortlessly cool... including the young lady clapping along behind the amps..
What a song, what a live performance ! Thanks for sharing. Hi from France.
So beautiful. Timeless.
IS Amazing 🔥🥰🥰

Brett Anderson & Bernard Butler reunited under band The Tears for one fantastic album 'Here Come The Tears' in 2005, which I consider part of Suede's discography :-)

@@SamM_Scot It wasn't the same, honestly even though bernie boy didn't rate them i honestly think Simon's drumming (punk) and Mat's bass (almost jazz) were essential.

They lost 'everything'. Dumbest ultimatum ever in music history.

@@Darrenski I said they lost ‘something’, all of their stuff that followed never matched the heights of dog man star or the self-titled
The worlds end
Is this live?, awesome. Butler later plays guitar with Robert Plant and Bonny Dobson, performing"Morning Dew" in 2015, looks the very same guitar. And the same brilliance..

Yes, all performances on Later with Jools Holland are live and Bernard Butler is my personal all-time favourite guitarist :-)

Where do rate Keith Levene and John McGeoch?@SamM_Scot
People keep saying Butler was very important for Suede. I agree. But, Richard is a great guitarist with remarkable style and very creative in my opinion. Both guitar players are great performers.
Man that snare sound is terrible.
