I don’t know if it’s a generational thing but a lot of Somali people hate being filmed suddenly. Even in travel vlogs to Somalia, people will tell them not to film them. I swear it’s because people would constantly film them to exploit the tragedy of Somalia or whatever. People don’t trust that people have a good intentions. Somali people know that the media profits off of showing them only in chaos. I think some older people also think it’s sinful.
