I've watched this episode a few times now, and I keep picking up more and more. They've talked about those moments in 2018 a lot. It's been brought up multiple times on Suchwita with different members, but I feel, with Tae's discussion here, we've finally gotten the "full" scope of what was going on. He talks about feeling so negative and burnt out that he considered getting injured on purpose, just to have time to rest. That breaks my heart. The implied undertones (and this is just my speculation, of course) are that he was ready to quit. Possibly Jungkook too. And maybe that's what caused the rap line to sit down, write "Tear", and then send those text messages to V and JK. I always wondered, "Why just to those two and not the others?" Because those two probably needed to hear it the most. Maybe because they were getting ready to walk away. Every time they show that footage of Jin saying "We even considered disbanding", it is devastating, but this time I really focused on Tae's reaction. It BREAKS him. More and more, I really think they're laying themselves as bare as they can for us. It's not just lip service about being honest. As you guys said, it had to be such unbelievable pressure, most of us would not be able to handle half as much. I really give all of them credit for caring enough to work through it and fix their issues. They love each other and BTS so much that they've renewed their contracts early TWICE now. We in this Bangtan shit for life. APOBANGPO.

The whole "hurting yourself" to rest becomes even more dark realizing that in 2017 Tae´s good friend in the industry commited sui*ide. I honestly cannot even imagine trying to process death on top of their crazy schedule, I am happy all of them came out on top and had now some time to focus on themselves.

This episode shows what a sensitive and thoughtful soul our TaeTae is. How he loves his BTS members! It broke my heart when he said he thought he should get hurt just to be able to get some rest. So glad he got past that and he is healthy now. He knows who he is, he had a vision for his solo work and the result is the success of his Layover album.

@theamptheory there was nothing for Suga because he’s already been serving, working an office job. Some are saying Office of Veterans Affairs. I believe he’s allowed to live at home, at least for now. He will enter basic training in future & they’ll probably have pictures with guys then. Info from Korean ARMYs

Thank you for this reaction, guys! Such a pleasure to watch Yoongi and Taehyung's interaction. I was quite surprised that Taehyung was nervous because in their In the Soop episodes he was the one who was brave enough to wake up a grumpy Yoongi. Taehyung has always been my sweet boy - his performance in "Hwarang" and his duet with my other sweet boy, Jin, raised my interest in BTS. He could sing the highest notes with the tenors but it is when he sings in his natural baritone that he is at his best; I'm glad that Layover showcased his vocal range so beautifully. I have such respect and admiration for the members, especially Yoongi, whose desire to provide a platform for the members to promote their solo work resulted in one of the best talk shows ever. He not only provided the members their platform, he also provided the opportunity for them to recall some of the most intense memories of their life together and put it all into context for us. When they reunite, I hope they will go on that Bon Voyage to see the Northern Lights. I also hope Yoongi can resume Suchwita and have the members guest again.
