When I see these houses and village communities, it looks like pre-war 1930 's. An Idyllic ,simplicity and calming environment and atmosphere. When people stopped to talk and were part of real communities.

The Cotswolds' (might want to correct the spelling in your title) are magical. The large rolling hills of the countryside are as beautiful as one can imagine in an English storybook. My driver and guide took me to a small hamlet accessible only by a grassy road that I would never have guessed lead to anything but a hidden farm only to end at a little "town square" with an old red phonebooth still used back in 2005. I do a lot of homework before I travel anywhere, but the "feel" and overall mental , spiritual and emotionally pleasing sensations of places like this and Hallstatt cannot really be captured in pictures.

@@VoyageWhispers You're welcome. Just caught one of my own mistakes and corrected it. Happens to us all. Did you go to Kiftsgate Court Gardens? Bath is also worth a day. I was taken by surprise by what good shape the Roman Bath is in now and that it is still actually functioning. Back then, 2005, they let people dangle their ankles and feet in the large bath by sitting on the sides.

@@VoyageWhispers You are in for a real treat with Kiftsgate. I completely redid my garden after visiting. If the tea room is open, take a tray to the walled garden and relax. So many neat places to kickback there and such a great estate garden. There is another famous garden very nearby that is also worth a day. But Kiftsgate is special.
