Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Succulent propagation is a video series about propagation of succulent especially made for beginners. Many say Haworthia succulent does not work on leaf propagation. So I made this succulents propagation care video to know if its possible or not. Propagation results shown after care from 8weeks and 9months... Please watch to find out! Please subscribe, like and share :) Happy succulent gardening! Hope you enjoy succulent propagation!

I’d say it’s worth the wait if you’re propagating on a large scale and with Haworthia that don’t offset as much or as often and with variegated, rarer types etc. With how prolific many Haworthia are with offsetting I think it’s better to wait for it to produce those. Haworthia limifolia can produce many offsets within a year. Very interesting to see though and I admire your dedication and patience with showing this process. 👍
It is worth the wait. Thank you for taking the time to make this video over a series of months. Most people don't make videos like this and I am grateful for your hard work and planning and organization. I just took four leaves this week and put them in dry soil *hoping* something might come of it. I am excited to see how they do over time and it's helpful to know how long I may have to wait before seeing any progress.

It's worth the wait! But the variegation in the pup's leaf is maintained, unlike the snake plant where variegation disappears in the pup after leaf propagation. That's really great.

Thank you for your observation. About the variegation, I will have to try a variegated version of this soon. I will upload here when it's done but it may take a while
I found this experiment oddly satisfying! I am potting my pups from my mother plants today. I was curious if leaf propagation is possible. Thank you sharing your experiment. I’m definitely doing it, it’s worth the wait. I’ll do it at a large scale so l can enjoy the leaf race hahah!. Wish me luck y’all 🙌🏾
It paid off! What a long wait but these are beautiful!
This is an extremely valuable method for propagation of rare, endangered and slow to reproduce species.
I can't thank you enough for this video. Please keep updating with flowering, new babies, death of the leaf propagated. Again, thank you!
Thanks for your dedication to making such an informative video!!
Perfect video for what I was looking for and nicely documented. Agree with another poster's recommendation to include your growing conditions and media composition in the future. Nice job and thank you!
Awesome! Thank you for your patience.
Remarkable patience and dedication. Worth a million views.
So. Today is my second day sooo I have to wait 9 months more hahaha, That so cool! I can't wait for it! 🔥💗

Someone gave me plants like this last year, but I've never tried to propagate any of them. I know how to now, thanks to this channel.👍🏽 They seem to take as long as snake plants to propagate.
Thanks for this video Was so hard to find information on leaf propagation!

Quick question - do you do the water using the soak & dry method while trying to grow this way?
Hello 👋🏼. I have many Haworthia’s and have been overgrown. And I have been scared of propagating them. I did not know how. I am happy i found your video! It was very informative and helpful. Especially when cutting each leave. Thank you 😊 for sharing! Stay Safe! Stay Well! I cannot wait to see how I do. 🌵🌱🙌🏼. 💚.

Interesting video! I am curious to know how frequently you watered, how much light they were given, and what soil you used.

I regularly mist them to keep the soil moist. Partial light is given to them. Regular soil is used.
Hi! I loved the video! Did you keep daily watering with a spray bottle? What about the soil, did you mix it with sand and fertilizer?
Wow that’s amazing howto see how you propagate howarthea
You wait for nine months... Wao really appreciate your effort for the video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
Very cool to know its possible and how to do it. Im wondering if freer, sandirer mix with a bit of bottom heat or rooting hormone would speed it up?.
Wow that's a long time there has to be a gaster way. Well thank you for your video have a great day
Thank you very very much for this!! i have to try it. Can you please tell me how to propagate from seeds?

Hi Facundo, thanks for asking. I forgot that I need to update this series :)
This is great, that you took the time to do this and to show the LONG process of propagation! I think if you have a spare windowsill somewhere, why not? But I think my plant is actually Tulista Pumila. I carefully broke some pups out today, if I dry them well and then plant, will they root faster than this?
@succulentsforbeginners
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Nicole Sudhoff, thank you for watching! I'm not sure which is faster but I might make a future video on that too, great idea :)
@russellperdomo4972
4 жыл бұрын
I'm late but yeah, pups will grow faster than the ones from leaves.
Haworthia (Zebra), black and green prince are my most favorite succulents
What growing media used for leaf growth?
If you had laid the leaf flat in the soil, would you have had seen faster growth? Diminishing some of the time it took the roots to push new growth out?
@succulentsforbeginners
4 жыл бұрын
it will still be the same :)
Congratulations Brazil
How often do you water the leaves after they calloused? Daily?
I am propagating ficus Elastica at the moment and it's so slow. Is it worth waiting for Haworthia? I don't know. I have few offshoots I am trying to get to root. I'll stick to that plan.
Man... it's very slow! Very nice video, thanks!
Where did you kept it for 9 months in semished or in sunlight
I have this variegated haworthia, and i just started this kind of method, i hope it will root..
great video! how often do you water the propagated leaves and babies?
@succulentsforbeginners
Жыл бұрын
It depends on the weather, I just keep them moist
Please tell about potting mix.
Wow I thought you got wrong mentioned the week but that's real 9 mothhs hopefully I'm not losing the passion or forget about the flower that I HV 😅
@succulentsforbeginners
3 жыл бұрын
Not, please don't loose passion. This is a proof that is best propagated by shoots, let them produce babies naturally! It's faster when you have a mother plant than to use leaves on this variety alone. Other varieties can produce a lot faster
Hey I lost a Haworthia due to too much watering I am trying yo save her bt replanting her leafs..can I replant them all in one pot? Make sure its dry? I dont mind waiting the leaves are still beautiful its just the root lost it from center I am gonna just replant the leaves and leave them maybe someday they ll show some roots
How much should we water and what intervals ? please reply
I'm doing this with 3 leaves of an Aloe Aculeata that was etiolated/elongated. It's been 3 months and nothing happened yet. Neither came pups nor did the leaf rot. I am afraid to dig up and ruin the root growth process. Does it have chances of propagation of Aloe aculeata this way?
@succulentsforbeginners
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Luiz Antonio, thank you for always supporting this channel and for watching our videos :) I haven't tried Aloe Aculeata yet. May it would be great if you could update us on your progress? It could still grow slowly, but if the leaves did not wilt then there's still a chance it will succeed
Can you help me why I m getting my sensiviera fasciata leaves always rotting. I m using only water no rooting hormones
Can you use root hormone gel to speed up the propagation of Haworthia plant leaves ?
@succulentsforbeginners
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sheryl thanks for watching. It might speedup and save a few weeks but i havent tried it in haworthia. I might do an experiment on this... hope you enjoy our new videos too!
Hi there! which month is the best to start to propagate haworthia by leaves here in the Philippines? does it need a hot climate to germinate fast and to grow some roots immediately? thanks for your answer! :)

My haworthia cooperi produced buds from leaf in about 2 months
What soil do you use ☺
Hi there, should we give indirect or direct light to these leaf cuttings?
@succulentsforbeginners
3 жыл бұрын
Indirect light for all propagation I would suggest
What soil did you used
Hi. What type of Haworthia is that?
Hahaha so that means I have to wait for another 9months before a pup will grow from my haworthia. It's growing roots now, but didn't know it will that that long for pups to grow.
Oh, it takes too long to have baby plants. How often we should water it during the process ?
If I fertilize it, will it grow faster. Same thing with rooting hormone, will it help the roots to sprout faster?
@succulentsforbeginners
3 жыл бұрын
Might help a little, I have tried both but I see almost no difference
Hey nice video my zebra plant is getting dried after reporting though watering frequently top leaves I feel r dried and lower leafs r bit yellowish how should I perk up top leaves?
@succulentsforbeginners

if you water frequently and the bottom part is yellowish, please look closely, you might see your zebra rot because of overwatering...
