There are 2 ways of reaching success : 1.Performance - that is easy to measure and quantify - rankings in sports - instant recognition based on the results 2. Networks - usually invisible and difficult to be spotted - the art community - delayed recognition based on the opinions and reviews of the community members Excellent explanation!
True and best video. I measure things happened (bad experiences in phd level education going through best schools in the world) to the network theory of this expert gentleman. Bravo
He is totally right, and he himself is a walking proof of this hypothesis; His postdocs and students probably performed all this research, suffered to shape all this knowledge, and now he is sitting, in front of a screen, in a mirror shop, getting all the credit. This, what I call success!

Well, it is a good thing to see that he applies the science. Otherwise it can be relegated to the realm of theory. I see the mirrors being used to convey the points made in the book about perception. In the book he gives credit to all those who worked with/for him. It's a great book- just finished it.

What an amazing book & researches, the Formula. One of the best reads I've head, ever, of 2000 books or so
completely amazing!!!!
excellent work
Interesting research findings. However, I believe some important elements of success are missing. Firstly, quality of the relationships in the network. People with strong networks are successful. True, but how do they build those networks? In my experience, by adding value to those they are connected with. Secondly, quality of leadership. Teams do not perform better because they have a strong leader, but because they are aligned around a common goal, a purpose. Outlining a purpose that is worth pursuing and is shared across the team is part of good leadership. Lastly, there is a difference between success in terms of fame (Google searches, likes, citations) vs success in terms of driving better outcomes. Revisiting what we define as success may be important if we want success to last.

Well, not much information can bestuffed into a 5 minutes video. He wrote a few books, so I can't wait to read them. But I see what you meant here.^^
Thank you for the video! =)
Interesting - but the background music is really annoying & distracting.

Please stop adding nonsense background music. It lowers the quality of your content.
All this production is distracting: the dramatic background music, editing angles, etc. It doesn't need to be flashy, simpler is better

Success at what, though? His idea of "success" just sounds like a narcissistic popularity, rather than actually making the world a better place, increasing the ability of others to get what they need to be healthy enough to follow their dreams. That's what evolution defines as success.

If you read his book he explains also your concern. Inner fel success can't be measured with mathematic algorythm. This is more of a study how people comes noteable. How books becoming best sellers etc.
and this is news ... why? Ivy leage graduates being more successful? shooocking
