Success is in Doing The Things Others Don't with John Paul Dejoria | BEHIND THE BRAND

John Paul DeJoria breaks down success and how successful people do the things that unsuccessful people don't!
A successful entrepreneur from the United States, John Paul DeJoria is the founder of The Patrón Spirits Company. He is also the owner of the Paul Mitchell hair product line. As a self-made billionaire, he has faced his share of hardships-he lived out of his car and sold shampoo and encyclopedia to make ends meet. In 1980, he partnered with Paul Mitchell and turned a $700 investment into John Paul Mitchell Systems, which today has $1 billion in annual revenue. Mitchell died of cancer during the company's growth, and DeJoria took over. Among his many businesses are Patrón Spirits, House of Blues, and DeJoria Diamonds.
He is interested in a range of industries including life sciences, telecommunications, and yachting. In his role as a philanthropist, DeJoria has signed the 'Giving Pledge' with 150 billionaires to give 50% of his earnings to improve the world. His support of charities spans 160 countries. An avid animal lover, he vowed never to test his products on animals, and instead opted to test them on himself. As of today, he lives in a $50 million estate in Malibu, California, which is filled with every luxury imaginable. Despite his advanced age, he still works hard and gives back as much as he can. He makes all of his business decisions with philanthropic intentions in mind. Real success, he believes, comes from helping others.
is a billionaire businessman and philanthropist best known as a co-founder of the Paul Mitchell line of hair products and The Patrón Spirits Company.

He says he wanted to start John Paul Mitchell Systems in 1980 but I could have sworn I remember seeing that product in 1976... maybe it was just called Paul Mitchell... maybe Paul Mitchell Systems is a different line ?

He talks about doing door-to-door sales but nowadays so many people have no soliciting signs that will threaten to get the police.

Did you re-ask these questions later after he left or something? There's a real awkward flow between you guys. Does anyone see that?

Will Ennis makes sense that you’d notice this because JP was kind of like a robot. That is, his story almost seemed rehearsed...or like he’s told it a million times. Respect ✊ tho to this old-Schooler who’s still selling and hustling like he was broke
