But if I dowload the files from steam cmd and put them into subnautica of epic games will it work?

You could give it a shot, but I don’t think so. It would be the right version but keeping epic from automatically updating to the right files for its current version would be the issue.
it says to play nitrox to play a different subnautica version but how do you do that?
