Reapers don't spawn in front of the aurora. The only one close to the front is at the very back, and even it isn't really at the front.

@@Nicolas-tf7ni Yep, generally while it may not be the first one you encounter, your most likely to hear it as it generally circles around 50-100m away from where the entrance to the aurora. I think it's probably where you were meant to first encounter it, unless your like me and decided that going to the front end by the moonpool area of gun island was a good idea.
