Change the brake pads on your vehicle! If there is a screech or a whine coming from the wheels, a likely cause is that the brake wear indicator is touching the brake rotor, meaning the brake pads are running too thin. Changing the brake pads will alleviate the noise and will increase the braking ability on your car. Save some money, get hands on and replace your brake pads!
Note: Changing brake pads is one part of the complete brake job. Resurfacing the rotor or replacing the brake rotor and bleeding the brake fluid with new brake fluid.
Also after replacing the brake pads and the wheel takes a great deal of effort to rotate, the brake pads may be too tight against the brake rotor. Make sure the correct brake pads and pads thickness are used.
