I knew going in that this mod was going to do little to nothing for my Crosstrek. I feel like it's something that would be felt more in a manual and/or a higher power, more modified engine, where that reduced rotating mass would help more. When putting parts on that the engine has to rotate like this, you should be able to see a difference when you have the car in neutral and you blip the throttle; lighter parts allow the RPM to raise and lower at a quicker rate, and when I tried that, I didn't notice anything change. It was just a single pulley changed out, though; making other parts like that lighter adds up.

@@CarsSimplified right I also forgot you have the cvt.. well either way you would say install was easy? I have a manual and still think I may go for it. How much was yours without the free shipping deal

I ordered another part, and this pulley was on sale to the point where it would put me over the threshold for free shipping and was only $10 more than not-free-shipping. Figured it was worth it just to make the video, and maybe I'd be pleasantly surprised by a small performance gain.
