Roa ist wirklich goldig. Ihr liebt sie sehr und das merkt man. Ich habe allerdings das Gefühl, dass ihr etwas zu "beschützend" und "bestimmend" seid. In den Videos kommt es so rüber, als würden ihr hauptsächlich Fragen gestellt werden, welche mit Ja/Nein zu beantworten sind. "Magst du das?" "Willst du etwas essen?"Somit hat Roa keinen Anreiz zu sprechen, auch wenn sie es vielleicht schon könnte. Außerdem gibt es enorm viele Situationen, in denen sie regelrecht Anweisungen bekommt. Tu dies nicht, mach das. Lauf nicht, wirf die Münze rein, gib das Futter. Natürlich ist das normal um Kindern etwas beizubringen, jedoch könntet ihr die Eigeninitiative anregen durch Fragen wie "Wo kommt die Münze rein?" "Was machen wir nun mit dem Futter?" "Was möchtest du essen?" Vielleicht motiviert das Roa, sich mehr zu äußern, wenn die Fragen zu kompliziert werden, um nur mit "Mh" zu antworten. Und zum "Beschützerinstinkt" Ihr seid die Eltern und ihr wollt Roa in Sicherheit wissen. Allerdings brauchen Kinder Erfahrungen und dazu gehört auch Fehler machen und fallen. Wenn sie sich jetzt nie eine Schramme oder Beule holen darf, wird sie als Erwachsene nicht wissen, wie sie sich davor selbst schützt. Kleinkinder haben einen robusten Körper durch Fettpolster, die die Knochen und Gelenke besser schützen als im späteren Alter. Nutzt diese Phase und lasst sie experimentieren, lasst sie rennen, lasst sie fallen. Sie wird ein eigenes Gefühl für Gefahren entwickeln und ihr Verhalten anpassen. Denn Fallen muss man tatsächlich lernen. Das kann sonst später zu stärkeren Problemen führen wenn sie fällt und nicht weiß, wie sie sich abrollen, abfedern oder auffangen muss.

This is just conjecture, but it's possthat some children, like Roa, are a little more naturally cautious, which then increases the parents to be more protective, which then increases the child's cautiousness. Then, the parent feels a stronger urge to be protective, and the cycle repeats itself this way. It seems that Joon and Linda are trying the hardest to raise their child properly, which might tamp down on Roa's natural inclination to explore on her own

Roa got the best physical features from both her parents. I really adore her. I wish I'd be blessed with a beautiful daughter like Roa.

She is really cute but it must be so frustrating for the child and the parents to still not be able to have a back and forth conversation even at this age. I really hope she will talk soon so you guys can learn more about how she feels and thinks about the world around her.

Same here my nephew grew up in a bi-lingual household so he didn’t speak til he was 3 and half. He just graduated from college with honors.

@@tjungnyc there are always exceptions to the norm. I am sure there are few kids in the world who didnt start talking until they are 5. But generally even in the bilingual families, most kids do catch up when they are 30 months old. I have 2 daughters and the first one spoke early and the second one had a speech delay but was all caught up by the time she was 27 months old. Both from the same bilingual family. Roa just might be a part of this very small minority group who just speaks very late but it is good to take notes and observe carefully at this stage.

All kiddos progress at their own pace! Specially ones learning/hearing multiple languages. Once she is fully speaking, imagine how epic she'll be knowing more than one language ! ^-^

From an educational and pedagogic backround is Roa very intelligent! What I saw in most of the Videos is, that she points at things and the parents answer what it is. This is not bad but she also should be encouraged to repeat the word. 👍🏻

That’s what happened to my brother. He would point at things and my sister, who was younger, would answer for him. He couldn’t say my name and gave me a different one that was more monosyllable. Later he finally began to talk and was highly intelligent. He taught himself to read and speak Spanish from videos so he became bilingual mid life. But I do agree with the viewers who are saying the parents need to stop speaking for her and ask her questions that make her think and react. I stopped answering to my brother’s made up nickname and he finally started calling me by my real name. Don’t be helicopter parents hovering over the child. It only increases her anxiety and yours.

It's been quite sometime since I saw the video wherein this beautiful little girl had a check up regarding her delay in talking. Still, to this day, she is still not talking. Just a kind suggestion, maybe another check up will do & maybe more talking on the parent's part to her ... as in mouthing the words to her face to face & letting her imitate it. Just a kind suggestion ...Continuing to look at the vid, her response is just a "grunt" when talked to. She can't even just say yes in Korean or U-ma or A-pa, two syllable words usually the first words that a child would say being exposed to both parents first. Also noticed that Linda talks to her in Korean all the time. So how can there be confusion?

Roa is a little angel. Do you think she should be allowed to feed & drink more by herself. I know its difficult with one child as you feel so protective. But Roa needs to do more for herself. She will have to go to school eventually & you can’t be watching her all the time. You have so many who love watching you as a family & we only say things to help not criticise. Best wishes from UK.

I was thinking the same thing. I think Linda is a little over protective. Sometimes I think Roa looks frustrated because she isn't allowed to do things by herself, such as feeding the animals. She looked perfectly capable. I also wonder if her parents should stop interpreting her grunts/vocalizations by telling us what she means as she will likely have no incentive to try to say words if her parents interpret what she means without her actually saying them. I know I'll probably catch flack here but just sharing my thoughts. We all love Roa and her beautiful parents. That's why we are here after all. ❤

Ich hab Roa im letzten Vlog zum ersten mal ein Wort sagen hören "아빠 " und heute "냠냠". Generell habe ich das gefühl das sie bis vor ein paar Monaten wirklich sehr viel lernt und mutiger wird, selbstbewusster wird. Although the parents are super super sweet to the child, I was super tired watching them... The dad telling Roa to put her fork downwards otherwise there might be a chance that she would hurt herself Telling Roa not to run too fast (in a park without cars) otherwise she might fall... telling Roa not to put the food of the raccoon on the plate with her hand otherwise she might hurt her hand.. wow I thought that I was overprotective, but this is next level 😅
