Back here after the song was released today. In hindsight, it was really unconventional and brave of Joon to debut this completely unknown song to a live audience. Plus, Yoongi simply gave him the stage during his own concert, because he trusted armys to receive this song with the respect it deserved. Isn't it amazing how this huge space full of armys clearly gave Joon the safety and courage to take this leap of faith, and perform with so much passion and authenticity? And how beautifully armys listened and cheered? It's moments like these that show how special the relationship of army and bts really is.

I was thinking the same thing while watching this. The entertainment industry is a harsh place, but I feel like ARMY have managed to create a safe space for BTS at this point, where they can experiment, be vulnerable, and know we will meet them with warmth, understanding, and be open to new things. It's a wonderful place to be in as an artist, I hope it gives them confidence to keep taking creative risks and exploring new territory!

Exactly! And it's comforting to see how bts seem aware of our openness and warmth towards their new work, whatever direction it may take. This entire chapter 2 of exploring their own respective style of solo music has been incredibly rewarding. It's exactly what joon hoped for when they announced their break in 2022. It's cruel that he can't really be here for the album release, but I hope he still feels all the love.

At a time like this I can see how the girl in the MV is ARMY. She gave him the space to be himself. A rapper who is a poet, singing, an over 6 minutes song in a world full of TikTok and shorts.

Imagine how entwined you need to be with the crowd for them to come up with fan chants on the first go of listening to the song? And that too the entire crowd is in sync. Fan chants are nowadays published after the song, but this natural way of it just happening, organic, real, original, just beyond everyday normal artist thing.

Right? This is ARMY adapting in the moment, I can feel it (I know us). It's pure synergy. Really, the way music can connect people on an unconscious level, and the way BTS and ARMY have built that musical/emotional connection over time... it's something really magical.

RM is a poet and lyricist. He’s a master of using purposeful contradictions in his songs (Indigo - “True beauty is true sadness”) so, we’ll have to wait until he releases the official track/album to really know his feelings and what he meant by the use of “Painful Divine” for now just guessing.. Agreed that his voice exudes emotions, calmness after the storm.
