⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 That pink guitar is one of Kami Band guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura's signature models. The good news is that ESP sells that "Ohmura Custom Snapper 7" guitar in twinkle pink. The bad news is that they retail around $5,800.00 new. Great choice for a reaction. A lot of folks choose the 2014 Budokan Black Night version, since it often escapes being blocked. This was only nine months later, but I think Su's vocals are noticeably stronger. And they were pretty great already. : )

Good reaction. I would have missed this because of it being blocked originally, I'm so glad I didn't. This is a better version than the one most people react to from nearly a year earlier - with the added bonus of Mikio Fujioka (RIP doing the first solo in the 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' intro by the Kami Band. I think it has already been explained, but Kami means god or spirit, so the Kami Band are the gods of guitar, bass and drums summoned from the dead to support BABYMETAL in all their live shows. Being gods or spirits they wear the traditional white burial robes and corpse face paint (since 2018 the robes are black and in 2019 the face paint was replaced with masks). You can buy a replica of Takayoshi's pink glittery guitar ... they're not cheap.

This video shows Mikio on another level. The tension, unique and high technique, and character in Mikio's performance. They are irreplaceable. An important person has passed away. May he rest in peace.

I have to say, as good as the version from Budokan is, I like this version so much better. Su's voice to me is so much better. I know it is only a year between them but this version feels more real, closer to what you would here in person.

Nice one, thanks! Honestly, that first solo by Mikio worth all the money paid for the ticket of the concert. Actually, Yokohama 2015 solos are on top of my favorites. Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Kamis' (=Gods') super plays were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 17-year-old Metal Queen (as of 2015) emerged, she colored everything differently and turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her. This song has not been performed since 2017. I really want them to revive this song like they did this year for NRNR, Akatsuki, OD, FDTD and GJ! at the Budokan.

You watching one of my favorite SuMetal solo. That Takayoshi Ohmura guitar is called "pink-chan" and yeah is so badass, but our little god or "kokami" Mikio Fujioka is shredding here. R.I.P. @@BreakdownMediaYT i was afraid my comment won't post it, so i did not give full info, here i go again ^^' _Akumu No Rinbukyoku_ (or Akumu No Rondo for many japanese, even that's what SuMetal sings) is one of the most darkest song from Babymetal and is my favorite SuMetal solo, followed slightly close by _Akatsuki_ and _No Rain No Rainbow_ She just delivering like a queen. \m/ Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice", so is like an Alice but instead of Wonderland she is in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity. Rondo is a musical form in wich you can hear a repetitive pattern, you can hear an example of this in the song of "David Burke - Blue Rondo a la Turk", you can notice that pattern here too, some other element you can spot is the piano like a "dark waltz" songs. Kami Band deserves their spot, it's almost natural you felt in love with the band too, in this case the two guitarrist were Mikio Fujioka and Takayoshi Ohmura (Mikio's pupil), Boh on bass killing it, and Aoyama Hideki (son of another famous drum musician) on drums. Kami Band intros are kinda rare, sometimes even are not in the same song which makes it unique, and only during certain songs like: _Catch Me If You Can, Rondo Of Nightmare, Awadama Fever, YAVA!, Kagerou (West Kami Band intro)_ Inside BM lore, Kami Band are chosen by the Fox God to backing up our girls and help them bringing the metal sound. Kami Band members said they have some switch inside everytime they dressed like a kami, same as our girls, they switch up when they're on stage, like they're possesed by power of Fox God (kitsune-sama). So their look is like a god entities wearing burial kimonos, and one of them according to our friend from Japan 南秀樹, BOH got a Japanese flag painted in his bald head. Yokohama Arena is the final chapter of a live series called "Trilogy - Metal Resistance Episode III - Apocalypse" or the Trilogy of 2015, Saitama Super Arena was the first one starting the year, Makuhari Messe midyear, and Yokohama Arena at the end. These shows like you said, is no joke, top notch productions, epic and legendary, this final show was finished with the premiere of one of the most beautiful song and love letter to fans any band or group had ever did before, _The One_ you can watch that live clip at the official channel but with no live sound. It was their first full english lyrics song, but there is a half japanese/english version like you'll see in the official MV. But you can leave that song when you get to know more songs from them while growing on you. How have you not gotten any views on this??? I've never seen this version, but it's great. This is the showcase for the band members and gives Su and the other girls a short break. Su-Metal just captures the audience with her singing as she comes in. She is unbelievably professional in her approach. The Kami band are gods risen to perform for the Fox God. Part of the whole Babymetal background story. This is typical Japanese burial dress from what I've read.

KZread leaves the date as the 22nd, so unless someone is subbed or going through BABYMETAL videos that are 2 days old, sadly less people will find this video. I found it because I usually search back a few days due to this happening.

How'd I miss this one? I was *just* thinking how I wish people would react to other versions of this song. The Budokan version is amaze balls, but others seem so much harder. I love that you reacted to this one. Gotta love a Mikio solo. 🤘🦊🤘

Can't wait for you two to get to Baby Metals newer songs. Pa Pa Ya is an absolute banger. Shanti Shanti is Indian influenced and transcendent. Elevator Girl Sumetals all English song. Starlight is a tribute their guitarist that died. He did the first solo in this song. And not to mention Baby Metals best song, IMHO, Megitsune.

Shine... One... Akatsuki... Chocolate... Karate... Ijime Dame Zettai... Headbanger... Doki Doki Morning... Distortion... Kagerou... Bruh, all 3 Albums of Babymetal are AMAZING. And to be honest, it's always hard to surpass a band's first album, but the latest METAL GALAXY Album is probably my favourite so far. As you mentioned, PAPA YA, Shanti, Elevator Girl, and Starlight are all terrific.

Hi guys....brilliant reaction. the gowns and face paint for the band is because they are the KAMI BAND (God band) so the gowns and paint is their depiction of what a GOD would look like. The girls started when they where 12and13 yrs old. Su here is approaching 18 when she did this gig. she was born 1997.

Oooft that auto-block definitely going to slow roll this one in the algorithm. Interesting you went with this version, don't think I've seen a reaction to anything but the Budokan Black Night before. Love the visuals of that one more but something is a bit more dynamic and powerful with the audio from this one. Also to address the band's dress they're known as the "Kami band" and kami in the Shinto religion was/is a spiritual/sacred power (definition sort of varies) in animate and inanimate things. So people have speculated they're all in white and with white face paint to represent spirits. (Kami can also be gods, ghosts and all sorts if you get right down into it. So could be due to the Fox God or any number of other reasons, it's a rabbit hole you could easily get lost in trying to find the actual reason.)

Su has a few solo songs. This song is beautifully demented. My favorite is Akatsuki it has dueling guitar solos. Amore is a extremely face paced song. Su was 16-17 here . So still really young. I seen them in 2018 they played Akatsuki . It was just amazing live. That song alone worth the price of admission. Sadly their hasnt been any solo songs lately. They also put mask on the band, Im not a fan of. When I saw them in 2019 they didnt even do a Su Solo song. They played more of the poppy new songs. Anyways glad you found them.. enjoy

Su has Solos just like Yui and Moa had their own songs. Su's Solos are Rondo of Nightmare, Amore, Akatsuki, No rain no rainbow. The Black Babymetal (Moa and Yui) Songs are Onedari Daisakusen, Sis Anger, Song 4, GJ. They have those Songs, so the other girls can have a break and rest a bit.

At 8:20, I think Su- has gotten in the "zone". And you looked same too. It was different to expect kawaii from this song, haha. The song is about a very dark world, but even if you don't understand the lyrics, you can still feel what Su- is trying to say, I think. "Kami" of Kami Band means God. But Shinto in Japan is a polytheistic religion. So you can get members of the Band are all Gods. Thank you from Japan.

This entire concert is incredible. I don't think it quite gets the attention if deserves in terms of all time Babymetal moments/events. I think its in the running for the best overall concert ever.

Nice reaction. This song is by far Babymetals darkest song. As the name implies it's about a recurring nightmare. In the nightmare a faceless thing chases her through the dark. All she can see is the moonlight reflect off the fangs and claws. She tries to hide but it finds her. She gathers her strength one more time to ask if it would at least show itself before it attacks. Then she falls into the darkness. the song suddenly ends. Did she die or wake up? That's up to the listener to decide for themselves. A dark song indeed. And yet folks love this tune. Most 15 year old's wouldn't even try to sing this song. let alone record it and perform it to the amazing level that Su does. This is just another reason why Babymetal is special.

I don't hear that version too often, I was quite surprised by the bone dry sound of the guitars. The outfit of the intrumentalists is tied into the lore. They are sent by the Fox God to support the girls on their quest to unite the world by Metal, so they are from beyond this world. The robes they are wearing are traditional Japanese burial robes. But I think the main intention is to extend the clashing of Metal and Pop that you find in the music to the visuals as well. The first two albums included four Su solo songs and four "Black Babymetal" songs (which is Moa and Yui on their own without Su). It gives the girls a chance to catch some breath between all the strenuous dancing.

This is one of Su's solos and Yui and Moa are taking a rest back stage. They then return the favor and let Su rest when they perform as the duo Black Babymetal. The band are called "the Kami Band" and in this case kami means "sprits of the dead" so they wear the robes and white face paint to evoke these ghostly spirits. RON is a very dark song where Su is chased by something she cannot escape. The repetitive nature of a rondo makes this even more frightening. I think that the changing time signatures are there to make us feel uncomfortable and keep us off balance. The final chorus is as unsettling as the time signatures and offers no happy resolution: It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but fall into the darkness. I'm always reminded of "monsters from the id". Some other reviewers mention that the song ends very abruptly and that it's hard to settle into...which I think is the point as you wake from a nightmare suddenly.

They started in 2010 Su was only 12 when BM started. In this vedio su was around 17/18 years. Currently Su is 23 (soon to be 24). Those band are Kami band.

Great choice choosing the 2015 Yokohama performance. I have never seen anyone do this one. But I do have to say that you should also check the Budokan black night in your own time.

This is the first time I've seen someone react to the Yokohama version of RoN on KZread because it almost get insta-blocked by the algorithm. Good to see you managed to put it up. I wonder what sort of action you did to get this unblocked. Great job anyways! BABYMETAL started at 2010 under "Sakura Gakuin" ( performance group) the girls call their genre of metal "Kawaii-metal" (かわいいメタル "Kawaī metaru" ( Cute-metal )). Suzuka Nakamoto, "Su-metal" Born: December 20, 1997 - Moa Kikuchi Moa-metal" Born: July 4, 1999 - Yui Mizuno "Yui-metal" Born: June 20, 1999 Band playing behind Babymetal is "Kami band" ( 神 Kami = god ( could be spirits depend on content in sentence )) The reason the Kami band are dressed in white greish and makeup is to represent spirits ( Japanese tradition ).. きつね Kitsune = FOX🦊GOD is their signature. The Fox god/spirit a very old Japanese tradition in Japan, not a religion but some do travel to the FOX temple to give gift to the Fox (god/spirit) for good luck. (( I said very very short intro...)) The band solos, followed by Su’s solo are a deliberate break so the girls can rest, rehydrate and get ready for the next song. Singing and dancing for 90 minutes at that intensity is no joke

HOW. How did you get this unblocked? This version _always_ gets blocked. For future reference, putting a translucent logo over the video often helps with automatic blocks, but if you can get them up like this...that's potentially a game-changer. What did you do, just dispute the block?

I'm sure u know this by now. They started the band when they were eleven and twelve respectively. Doki Doki Morning was recorded when Su was twelve and Yui and Moa were eleven in 2010ish I believe. Meaning in 2015 Su was 17ish and the other two are 15 to 16ish.

I guess no one can play this crazy and innovative like Mikio RIP. We just enjoy the precious recording. Thank you very much for your reaction.
