This is one of those moments that you have to see more of the entire video to get the full impact of it. While teary-eyed, Yui seems much more in control of herself than Moa, but that is because she had time to regain some of her composure. Just prior to this, at the conclusion of the final song Su, Yui, and Moa performed together with Sakura Gakuin, Yui totally lost it and broke down crying as she clung to Saki Ooga. That really hit me hard. A word of caution, if you decide to follow Sakura Gakuin forward, you are in for more of this. The graduations of 2011 and 2012 are the most heart-wrenching by far, but every year after those has plenty of tears and honest emotions. Still, the journey is worth the effort. I honestly cannot explain it, but there is something magical about Sakura Gakuin. They can make even an old codger like me feel that there is still something good and decent in this messed up world we live in.

I took me a while to convince myself to click on that link. This is so tough to watch. But it is indeed an important moment for people to witness to understand Sakura Gakuin and BABYMETAL. You cannot seriously say after watching this that they are just a bunch of casted girls. These girls are living for what they are doing and for each other, they are in this with all their heart and soul.

I'm 42 and bawled too. Well, everyone has been a teenager, I think we can all relate. Leaving your friends, your beloved ones, something you enjoy can be heartbreaking.

When Babymetal became famous, some people analyzed the system in detail. “This group is“ made as a product ”. So you can cross pop and metal to dance a cute young girl and anyone with the strongest band can fight in the world. " That is a mistake. Not only are they very talented, they have made bloody efforts. The most important thing is the wonderful personality of the three as you can see in this video. Unusual characters gather by chance and attract the world. Even if you don't tell you, you will understand :)

At first, when you stumble upon Babymetal, you think "wow, cute little girls rocking out. I like this!" Then you do a little background and start to learn about the band and the haters. You like them even more for succeeding despite the resistance they face. Then you dig a little more and find out about Yui and Mikio. You like them even more for the determination to keep going on in the face of adversity. Then you dig a little more and find out the origins and the personality of these young ladies. You can't help but fall in love with them. They have been working and training since a young age just to learn how to perform as a professional. They have a strong tie and bond with each other, and they literally grew up together performing. They have dedicated so much of their lives to be on that stage. And yes, they do it for themselves and their families, but they also do it for us. For us, The One. Now when you listen to a song or watch a video, frequently you will get that lump in your throat. Why? Because you will understand who they are and what they are doing, and what they have been through already. You will feel it in your heart like we do, because you are The One. Hello bro! Moa running up to Su saying "I love you!" breaks me everytime...my god...there is no reason on earth or in the entire universe which could justify to separate them. Thank god they are still together to this day.

If you don't shed a tear at this then your heart is made of stone....This was a great reaction, we all need to see this, it's very important to the Babymetal story, these three girls have been together for so long. I can't even imagine how difficult it was for all of them when Yui got sick. I just wish we could have some sort of news about her, anything would do, We are all invested in these girls, it's almost as though we have watched them grow up. This is why our feelings are so strong. I love Moa's heart and Su's strength. But you know Yui had both of these things, she was the dancing heartbeat of this band. That's why she is so hard to replace. GREAT VIDEO SIR.

Hahahahaha ! (Yui's Chokotto Love version laugh) We GOT YOU ! Nah man what you had to go through just now we all did together. I've seen these videos quite a few times and everytime I go through them again I shed my tears, there's noway around it. That was a brilliant reaction and yes, this is why some of us are so in love with BABYMETAL, it's those things that the casual listener will not know about them but they go way back, they're genuine honest and modest young girls with lots of love and respect to everyone and that's why we love them so much.

The Moa speech gets me every time no matter how many times I watch it. At the time they werent sure if Babymetal would last with Su leaving, so there was real emotion. I think Moa will stay at Su's side as long as shes needed.

They already knew it, that they continue BM. It was announced 2 months before Su's graduation ceremonies. Even Su in her graduating speech talking about it. They cry, because it was the last time, when they perform together with Su, as Sakura Gakuin. And tomorrow they continue SG without Su. To be truth, at this moment, they didn't really care about BM. Their world didn't spin around BM, at this point.

Ghost_SL X perhaps they knew, but as I’m to understand it, it was very limited because they had only just released “Doki Doki Morning” moderate success. There were no guarantees that BM would take off, so it was a potential goodbye to Su in every aspect. Moreover, Moa is an only child and thought of Su as the big sister she never had, so think about losing that connection, confidant, and friend. There was so much uncertainty surrounding the future and kids don’t look forward too much, they are very much in the present, so having a constant taken away makes for a lot of emotion.

Kikuchi Moa is an only child and Su was the big sister she always wanted. Remember, at this time they had no idea the level of fame they would go on to achieve...and Moa and Yui thought they really were saying goodbye to Su. Crying is just fine...this 71-year old Vietnam Veteran cries every time he sees this clip.

If from what I understand is correct they thought that this was the last time they would all be together, not knowing that the group BABYMETAL would continue on as it had. We the ONE are so happy that it did. Thank you BABYMETAL we will continue our journey together as the ONE.

As I’ve read it, they knew it would be limited because “Doki Doki Morning” had only been out for a short time with moderate success, so it could’ve gone away pretty easily still. Also, Moa considered Su a big sister (I’m sure she still does), something she clung to because she’s an only child, so it was extra tough on her because she was losing the most important member of SG for her.

You're way down the fox hole now. A lot of casual Babymetal fans don't get the full impact of why we are so devoted to the members of Babymetal, and also why it was so difficult when Yui left. Every one of the Sakura Gakuin members are interesting in their own way. There's a huge amount of SG videos out there to explore if you want to.Thanks for reacting to this ! Great video. You can see now that the relationship between Su, Moa and Yui is much deeper than simply being in a band together. They have been together as family for over 10 years. There is a documentary of their first big trip in Singapore - Anime Festival - Asia 2012. Rick can probably give you the best link. The moment when Moa rubs Yui's cheeks will make you cry for sure. There is also another documentary of the girls together doing a vid about being cheerleaders in high school and of their commercial, Rick should have a link on that one also.

Same here. While each of their messages will always at least make me misty-eyed, our little Flower of Hope Saki trying so hard to keep a smile with her message even when sobbing really wrecks me. Once you're familiar with Baby-chan, there's no way around it. :)

Saki Ooga's farewell to Su and Mariri is a tear jerker. I always found Mariri a bit disturbing, but I cannot explain why. It just freaked me out that she and Baby-chan are the same age. Do not get me wrong, I really liked Mariri Sugimoto; and I feel that had she remained will always be the biggest what-if of Sakura Gakuin. I have read that she came to regret leaving early; and has remained very supportive of the later incarnations of Sakura Gakuin over the years.

su especially has influence over the younger members such as Moa and yui, Saki (who joined SG because of Su) and Mariri (who comes from Hiroshima like Su and looked up to her at ASH as well) i belive this and the previous graduation are the most emotional because the extreme closeness and especially love they have for 3AM and Suzuka especially

bro i watched this so many dam times at least over 200 times and i still tear up its the ending part with the piano and symphony music that got me crying at the very first time i wtched this

Oh shit! ... here we go again. all the precautions me make before watch this video is useless , absolutely useless ... "WARNING" if you react to Suzuka Surprise Party make sure bring tissue you may need one but .... really it's fun video :)

Its all good dude, we've all been there but the best part is that emotion you felt then, its something you can now understand of other BM/Sakura Gakuin fans. Btw, if you wanted to watch this on 'Extra Difficulty mode', watch the full vid of all the girls say goodbye to Su. Moa's is still very good (so please don't get me wrong) but there is one from another girl called Ooga Saki (aka Baby-chan)... and that was really tough to watch too.

There are multiple graduates in other years, but I think that Suzuka was the only graduate in this year because of Amuse's special view of Suzuka. You must have addressed the spot! SUMETAL is a god born with my body! !

We now know which video broke down Neon. If it’s any consolation, I shed some tears when I wrote lyrics to an original song of my own, “Lonely Reflections.” Grown men do cry, don’t be ashamed of it, being human. Well done videos man.

Su juggling school hours (usually 8 hours followed by 2 hours of clubs for various things and then 2 hours homework plus weekend homework), studying for her final exams and being head of the student council while fronting world renowned Metal band in her spare time. What do you want to be when you leave school, Su? Ummm...a Metal Goddess Queen revered by millions. And the Fox God heard and nodded and it was so...PS Glad you said you were already tery eyed before she'd even started speaking...it wasn't just me then. And Moa's speech really did me in, bless her. A big deep bow to you for showing your emotions so openly. Many wouldn't have.

Moa is obviously a very emotional person, just imagine what she would have been like if she still was not going to be working with Su in Babymetal. She would have been non-functional.

@@ronoda Yeah, I bet she was very upset. The only possible thing that could have made it a little easier is that it was a long time coming. Moa probably saw the possibility of her leaving for a long time before it happened so maybe when it happened she was somewhat prepared. But, I am sure that at sometime in the process there were tears.

ron o I just replied to someone else about this. It really looks in some videos, particularly their 2018 performances when it was in flux, like Moa lost something of that energy/spark in performing because Yui wasn’t there. It isn’t every video, and could just be her character on stage, but she was always the bubbly and smiley one, and it was missing in a couple videos.

Hello. Moa is so sad because at this time she was not sure Babymetal will continue with Sue or something like that? Why she's seems heartbroken like this? I want to make sure because their destiny after watching this video make the whole thing even more awesome. Who would know at this time, that years later these 3 girls will dominate the world!

Moa is SO brutal....

Suzuka Nakamoto is, in my opinion, the cutest most gifted and sophisticated girl I ever saw. But the thing I didn't like in this particular video is the heavy handed Bach/funeral music. Which shows the planners of this event were going for a dramatic emotion that would have been there naturally and by itself, without their stupid meddling. The melodramatic equivalent of laughing tracks used by tv comedy that has to rely on this plastic shit to sell their shows. This was so disturbing to me, that it took some beauty away of this otherwise heart wrenching interaction between possibly the most lovable group of girls possible. I wish there was some way to filter it out.

SG is an incredibly tough performance school, and Su-chan a tough no-excuses senpai, toughest of all with herself - making them all deeply bonded. Agreed SG overdoes it as a 24/7 reality show, underestimating the powers it is unleashing. The Fox God has far greater plans than SG ever dreamed possible.
