That drummer is great. Styx and Kansas seem like they have never stopped as I am 60 and remember my brother coming home with Eqinox and Leftoverture

I captured the full show in Binghamton, sorry. Had I known you were going to be in SYR I would have gotten that one. 😉 But at least you can relive it with the nearby show. Haha! See you at Springsteen in a couple weeks!

What amazes me is how fast they replaced bassist Ricky Phillips, but yes this guy is good and he's a Canadian.

On the contrary, if you were in the building you’d understand what a vital part of the show Gowan is and the level of professionalism he brings to the songs without the camp and pomp that DDY brought in the latter days of his time with Styx. The band is 10x better now.

@@squintyt4e_2 The Campyness is what makes it great! Dennis is a showman and that's ok. The combination of Dennis,Tommy and James I love because I like each for what each of them bring to the band. Things go bad when artist have ego's when they should just appreciate each other for what each of them brought to the table and enjoy it all.

@@squintyt4e_2 Also, go and have a listen to Dennis Deyoung live in Los Angeles show. He is the voice of STYX. And honestly the guitarist that does Tommy's songs is a better Tommy than Lawrence is a DEYOUNG.

@@AcidThundersShootThere’s being a performer and coming across as pompous and arrogant and that’s what did it for me in 1996. The two times I saw him in 1991 it was okay, but ‘96 was too much for me. It was all show and no heart, IMO. I vowed then to never see Styx again. Much to my pleasure when Gowan (who I already loved) was brought on to tour BNW (which is a great album if you remove the pomposity of DDY’s songs). I have so much to listen to, I’ve just closed the door to trying to appreciate DDY now - I’ve tried here and there, but it’s just not a good use of my time. Everyone has their opinion though, so that’s great that you still enjoy him.
