Shelly, forgive me for focusing on the wrong thing, but your jewelry is EVERYTHING. That being said, you are on to something here. I have always liked this product, but struggled with my hair frizzing up before I started to diffuse. Today, however, I used a lot more water and a lot more product, and, my hair did not frizz up at all. I will have to see how long this lasts, but I am hopeful because my hair has a very slight crunch. Thank you.

Why are yalll getting Meeeee all the way together !?? First of all I was using the big poppa like UFD, wrong !!! Then y’all slapped me upside my head with a chancla with the leave in !! Why didn’t y’all call me and tell me we back on with the leave ins!?? 3 weeks ago I was ready to risk it all and get fired from my stylist while adding deep conditioners and leave ins back into my routine. When I tell you my hair looked so lifeless and unnourished I mean it !! It has been looking so much better !! I’m also about to start back pre pooing with aloe Vera to help baby those areas that is obviously breakage at this point and to be more gentle. Thank you Shelly !!

Lol 🤣🤣🤣 Gurrrrrl I had to run back to them leave-ins and deep conditioning treatments because my hair was about to pack up and move out! Let me tell you, my hair feels soooooo much better already. I can’t believe I ever stopped using them. 👀🫣 I can’t wait to try the Miche Indulge conditioner and Lavish leave-in. I heard they are amazing 😍

I’m thinking about trying this combo on my next wash. Oh and I’ll try more smoothing than raking.

Hey Tasha! The first time I styled with big papa, and posted about it, I did not use a leave in and my hair looked great! Since then I have started using leave ins and deep conditioning treatment, because I realize my hair is drier than it should be. So I’m sure your result is just as good as my current one. I just used a leave in two lock in additional moisture.🥰

WoW great results! I like the idea after you smoothed big poppa gel you put a bit of water. I thinks it makes a difference and using a leave in underneath it. I might have to revisit this gel then . I’m back with using leave in in my wash n go routine (with mousse and depending of the gel ). I got my hair blowned dry and trim. I feel much better and last wash day was better. Your video and Rosie’s helped a lot.

I think it makes a difference too! Plus adding back in leave-ins and deep conditioning treatments has been clutch for me! My hooded dryer was a game changer for me!!! Because the heat is indirect I feel completely confident that it won't damage my hair. Sometimes I diffuse but not often because I really want to set my curls quickly under my hooded dryer. Also I noticed that I get more days when I do that. Your hair turned out really pretty and I love the volume.

I felt that same way about it at first because I kept asking different curl specialist during their IG LIVES and most said it was fine. However recently a few said it’s definitely possible if you don’t have anything to protect the hair (like a leave-in). So I’ve since made some adjustments in my routine. I think it’s just important to watch your hair and if it’s doing great than no worries. But if you notice anything off do not dismiss it. You hair looks beautiful in your profile pic and it sounds like you got a great system going for your curls! 🙌🏽😍🥳

I just came over from Rosie's video. Your result was gorgeous and flowy! I use a hooded dryer on low heat and my hair is still moisturized. I deep condition regularly and use cream stylers in the form of leave in or curl cream typically so that could be the reason for my hair not feeling dry.

Oh, yes! The curls are banging! I’m just using Big Poppa for the first time today, but I did use it with Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love, and I must admit, I am loving the day one hair with the Big Poppa and Curl Love combination. Let’s see how many days I can get out of this!

Your hair looks amazing. I always use the Dickey mwthod. I have been for about 2 years now. What really helped my gair was to use a protein deep conditioner since I was using moisturizing conditioners daily. My hair is the healthiest it has ever been since infancy. Lol

@shelly.v.247 My favorite protein deep conditioner is by Mielle babassu and mint. I let my hair air dry throughout the day and use a diffuser at night in my hair is still damp at the roots. I recently big chopped again due to boredom, not danage. Right now, I am using Cantu curl moisturizer and the olive oil Ecostyler gel or the green Wetline gel.

Kinky Curly is back on the scene for me too now. I try so hard the get a wash n go with the least amount of products. Tried the KC and BP yesterday and voilà. I looked at my stash this morning and said, the rest of y’all can go. Lol. But I’ll try some others with the the KC before I ship them off to my nieces. But my scalp is itching. Hmmmm.

Thank you Sis! Don’t feel like you can’t refresh after your workout. I do whatever I feel my hair needs based off how she’s looking. If you sweat a ton then keep it tied up until it dries. Otherwise it’ll frizz out on you etc. Hope that helps Luv. 🥰

Great question Luv! I’ve started using a leave-in again because I realized my hair wasn’t holding on to the moisture. I don’t have issues hydrating it but it was lacking moisture. My hair looks just as good either way but it feels better with. 💖
