we’re in summer in the southern hemisphere currently and i usually find that trends die out by the time we get around to them but since laini’s videos aren’t purely focused around trendy items, i find that her style has more longevity so thank you laini😭💗

I think that’s so cool in a way, you are in your own “world” in a sense so you could start your own trends and be ahead of the game. Makes me think of what it would be like to see new fashion when traveling abroad in the 1900s, everything was still unique to each culture’s history and traditions.

I hate the underwear tights 😂😂 I would probably do like you said, a mini skirt, or shorts, at least to cover my butt lol outfit 2 is giving macklemore thrift shop vibes HAHA honestly the capris + kitten heels combo is super cute i LOVE! IMO the trench coat fit I would probably make it with a cinched waist using some form of belt i can tie it with. And I love your fur coat! I have a smaller one I’ve never worn but these fits are really helpful for inspo!

My butt/ low hips are so wide I’m afraid it wouldn’t read as high fashion but hoochie on me 😂 I love it so much it reminds me of Cabaret.

I've been a die hard boxer girlie for years B) and I love the capri + ballet/kitten heel! I didn't even think of pairing capris with boots. I'm quite tall too (5'11) so finding the right fit has been a challenge but I'm feeling so inspired, even though my style and yours differ in a lot of ways you always give me new creative ideas!!

The fur (especially because of how personal it is) with the birkin basket is fabulous. That last outfit is like the perfect blend of Jane and Audrey. Love the yellow shoes with everything. Also a big fan of pyjama bottoms as pants. I have quite a few sleepwear pieces that I’ve never worn for sleep. They’re so comfy and honestly, why do they give men the perfect ticking stripe options and never us women?

okay, I love all the versions of outfit 7 especially the tan boots with the capri pants and i didn't expects to love outfit 1 as much but it looks so chic. Also, the fur with the busket is truly a superior combo lol and outfits 3 and 4 are so cute and wearable too!

Okay you are definitely making me come around to the capri trend. I used to really hate capris because they reminded me of middle school lmao. But styled with ballet flats and a fur jacket? actually really cute.

The underwear as pants is a big no for me. However I love the bright sneakers, the cheetah jacket and your grandma’s fur. I think a fun and different take on the capris would be to try them with the colorful sneakers. I also liked them with the teal kitten heels, and with the tan boots. Maybe pair with an oversized sweater or blazer? Glad you’re getting to play with your clothes again Lanie, thanks for the fun video.

The black heels really look much better if you don't wear tights in them, the patent leather shows really nice against skin! But for winter this just is too cold. I'd probably would wear black sheer knee high stockings or pantyhose under the trousers and have a but of fun with a small polkadot print.

For outfit 7: think about the shoes you would wear for an outfit with a midi skirt because the capris are about the same length as a midi skirt so similar shoes would probably look good for both outfits (does that make sense?)

when people ask me who my style icon is i always say laini. SUCH good fits.

I am a bit confused by the capri pants for my whole life but right now I start liking them. I think I would need a boxy oversized top/sweater/long sleeve situation. But to me it’s more for summer. Also with some more heavy weight sandals Love your style and you look adorable in any size and shape

I never got why people started hating on capris, I’ve always liked them. I think they say it makes your legs look shorter but tbh I think the way they hug and flare a bit at the calf makes the legs look shapely and good idk? They make the ankles look slim too. I think they’re flattering and practical too for us hot climate folks when we want to wear pants but can’t lol

god i am so excited to wear capris in the spring. I'm short, but i have longer legs and i think they balance me out so well. i also just love the look of them with a little tennis sneaker and a cardigan like omg. and maybe this year, if they really come into style, i can wear capris without my friends calling me grandma

For the capris pants I would find black capris then wear a long sleeved turtle neck (body suit). shoes I would just go for leather boots. I would also wear the capris pants with the belt you have but change the top for a white, short sleeved ,turtle neck.
