This video presents the bells c#1 -e1 -f#1 -a1 [do#3 -mi3 -fa#3 -la3] of St. St Mark's Church in Stuttgart city. All bells were made by bell foundry Kurtz.
➥ As early as 1950, a new peal of bells could be heard from St Mark's Church. The Kurtz bell foundry cast one of the first larger bells. This was possible because St Mark's Church and the surrounding districts were not as badly damaged as the city centre districts.
The new bells [1+2+3] replaced those that had been conscripted due to the war.
In 1959, the last place in the belfry was finally filled again with a new, small bell [4]. It is no longer clear whether a pre-war bell was still hanging here, which no longer quite matched the new sound and was therefore given away.
In front of the church, the ringing sounds very direct due to the open belfry. This only slightly detracts from the excellent sound impression of the ensemble. Due to the relatively early casting year for the city of Stuttgart, the bells from the foundry sound noticeably different here in St. Mark's Church than they usually do in the city centre.

Ein wunderbares, erstaunlich warm klingendes Idealquartett. Dieser frühe Nachkriegsguss gefällt mir fast besser als spätere von Kurtz.

Das kann ich nachvollziehen. Das ist ein bisschen wie Schilling wo es später sehr generisch und einheitlich wird.
Such a nice set of bells, I cam admit it. If I could say which bell is better, it could be lying. All of them are equally very good

Ich höre hier noch eine a°. So ist das mit Idealquartetten. Diese sind sehr besonders. In manchen Fällen hört man die Unteroktav der kleinen Glocke besonders gut, so wie hier. Mir gefallen Idealquartette sehr. Die Teiltöne, die sich da bilden finde ich sehr interessant und schön.

Dieser Summationston ist hier aber live auch aufgefallen. Das kommt hier toll rüber trotz der offenen Turmakustik.
Eine schöne Kirche, durch den umliegenden Friedhof wirkt alles sehr idyllisch.

Im Schwarzwald fällt mir zumindest auf die Schnelle kein solcher Rundturm ein.
